Photography games have been on trend lately. Just last year among major publishers there's been Pokémon Snap and the re-release of a maligned Fatal Frame game. You don't have to look far to see that every triple-A game these days has a photo mode, but if you extend your gaze beyond that you'll see independent developers have been the ones pushing the genre forward. Games like Umurangi Generation, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, and the upcoming Pupperazi show the emerging genre has as much range as, say, the first-person shooter. TOEM is one of the most charming and recent examples in this space, a game about exploring and taking pictures as you move through pocket-sized communities. But TOEM didn't start as a photo game. Nintendo is struggling to scrub gameplay and story spoilers for Pokémon Legends: Arceus from social media, with major story elements now out in the wild. (Eurogamer has chosen not to include any spoilers in this article.) Today, some images appear to have been removed due to copyright claims - but many more are still visible. Fans hoping to go into Pokémon Legends: Arceus unspoiled should now be extremely careful where they click - particularly on places such as Twitter and reddit. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is not due for release on Nintendo Switch until next Friday, 28th January, though photographs of several people holding boxed copies of the game have been posted online over the last 24 hours. The 3.0 patch notes for League of Legends: Wild Rift have been released, and along with a brand-new Champion comes a new way to play LoL on the go. The new hero is Sett, a leader in the Ionian criminal underground. Sett is a Fighter class champion, using abilities like Knuckle Down to buff his attacks and Facebreaker to attack multiple enemies at once. Sett joins the Wild Rift roster on January 26. Also coming to Wild Rift in the 3.0 patch is a returning mode called Ultra Rapid Fire (URF). This is a faster, more streamlined version of the core League of Legends experience that allows Champions to access their special attacks more often than usual, resulting in full matches running about half as long as usual. The URF map this time around will have a Lunar New Year theme, which will also be celebrated through limited time skins and accessories.
