Microsoft has announced that four more games are leaving the Xbox Game Pass library at the end of the month. None of this is out of the ordinary, as Microsoft removes titles from Game Pass each month in two waves, the first of which removed Limbo, Darkest Dungeon, and Greedfall on June 15. Titles leaving Game Pass on June 30, meanwhile, include FIFA 20, Jurassic World Evolution, Last Stop, and MotoGP 20. In the case of FIFA 20, it's leaving, but FIFA 22--the newest entry in the series--arrives June 23 for Game Pass Ultimate members. And as usual, the silver lining is that members save 20% on all Game Pass titles, so they can keep playing at a discounted rate. Xbox Series X/S outsell PS5 in Japan for the second time
The Xbox Series X and S have outsold the PS5 in Japan for the second time. As reported by Famitsu (opens in new tab) earlier this week, both new-gen Xbox consoles have outsold the PS5 for the week beginning June 13. The PS5 has sold a combined 3,035 units throughout Japan over that week, while the Xbox Series X sold 3,272 units, and the Xbox Series S sold a total of 3,423 units in the week. That's taking into account sales of both the disc-based and Digital versions of the PS5 console, by the way. The former managed to sell a total of 2,371 units over the course of the whole week, while the cheaper all-digital version of Sony's new-gen console shipped just 664 units. In fact, this isn't even the first time a single new-gen Xbox console has outsold the PS5 over the course of a week in Japan. Just last month in May, it was reported that the Xbox Series S by itself had outsold the PS5 over the course of a week in Japan, posting a total of 6,120 sales compared … [Read more...] about Xbox Series X/S outsell PS5 in Japan for the second time

The original Assassins Creed horses are “just twisted f***ed up human skeletons”
A former Assassin's Creed's developer has revealed that the original games' horses are, essentially, "just a twisted f**ked up human skeleton", alongside some other harrowing development titbits. Game developer Charles Randall explains on Twitter that the team had to improvise when creating horses for the game due to technical limitations. As such, they mangled the model of a human skeleton to make it look like a horse (thanks, RPS (opens in new tab) ). "Cheers to the amazing animators and riggers that managed to make that guy look like a horse," Randall tweets. Ubisoft also didn't have the budget for a custom skeleton or mesh for a one-armed character called Malik, leading the developers to turn one of his arms inside out to give the illusion the appendage was missing. "I assume if you could get the camera to clip into him you'd see a tiny little scrunched up arm inside the bicep," he adds. Also the horse in AC1 was just a twisted fucked up human skeleton, … [Read more...] about The original Assassins Creed horses are “just twisted f***ed up human skeletons”
Umbrella Academy Season 3 Ending Explained: What Happens To The Hargreeves Family?
Umbrella Academy Season 3 has arrived on Netflix, and the Hargreeves family is up to their usual antics of squabbling with each other and facing down a massive, cosmic-level threat that may or may not consume all reality. You know, regular dysfunctional family stuff. This season took things bigger and, somehow, weirder than ever before--and we don't say that lightly, considering Season 2 saw them time traveling the '50s and facing off with a group of Swedish assassins and also a man who was actually a sentient goldfish on robotic body. We're going to break the whole thing down for you here, but please be warned if you haven't finished Season 3, there are major spoilers ahead- -and most of them probably won't make a lot of sense if you're not at least mostly caught up on the Umbrella Academy as a whole. Please proceed with caution! We learn right off the bat that this new present day the Hargreeves family is in has been drastically changed. By interacting with their father in … [Read more...] about Umbrella Academy Season 3 Ending Explained: What Happens To The Hargreeves Family?

With Hugo now being able to control his powers, he helps Amicia out by revealing enemy locations, which is the game's "x-ray vision" mechanic. Amicia now also has more lethal ways of disposing of her enemies, including using her dagger and crossbow. Hugo can also unleash a torrent of rats as well, completely swallowing up enemies and devouring them. The extended trailer ends with a scene of Hugo passing out from exhaustion and seemingly losing control over the rats. The wave of rats gets bigger and heads in the direction of Hugo and Amicia. Chris Pratt Declares His Mario Voice Is “Unlike Anything You’ve Ever Heard”
Echoing similar remarks from a producer of the upcoming Super Mario movie made last fall , actor Chris Pratt--who will voice the titular plumber--said in a recent interview that his portrayal will be "unlike anything you've ever heard." Speaking with Variety to promote his upcoming Amazon Prime Video series The Terminal List , Pratt also touched briefly on the Nintendo film. "I worked really closely with the directors on trying out a few things and landed on something that I'm really proud of and can't wait for people to see and hear," Pratt said. "It's an animated voiceover narrative. It's not a live-action movie. I'm not gonna be wearing a plumber suit running all over. I'm providing a voice for an animated character, and it is updated and unlike anything you've heard in the Mario world before." In November, Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri called Pratt's voice for Mario as "Phenomenal," adding that he "can't wait for people to hear it." Meledandri, who is … [Read more...] about Chris Pratt Declares His Mario Voice Is “Unlike Anything You’ve Ever Heard”
