In the days since the launch of Apex Legends Season 13: Saviors , fans have squabbled over various topics ranging from arguments about Newcastle being over- or under-powered to endless disagreements about the recent changes to Ranked mode. But there's one thing almost everyone in /r/ApexLegends , the game's official Reddit community, can agree on: Someone is crashing console lobbies on purpose. Following Season 13's update on May 10, a few bugs popped up , but none of them seemed particularly serious--that is, until several reports emerged claiming that freshly killed squads were using some sort of exploit to crash servers. But this is Apex, a game that is no stranger to server issues (especially right after a season launch), so these reports were initially met with skepticism. It could always be a coincidence, after all. It certainly seemed that way until footage emerged of Twitch streamer "Awhlyssa" exploiting the glitch while livestreaming. In the clip, a teammate … [Read more...] about Sore Losers Are Using Xbox Exploit To Crash Apex Legends Servers

Kingdom Hearts 4 Director Explains The Game’s More Realistic Design
Kingdom Hearts IV looks set to introduce a few graphical changes to the long-running series, which includes a more mature look for protagonist Sora and other updated visual tweaks. In a new interview with Famitsu that was translated by VGC , series creator Tetsuya Nomura spoke about these changes and the world of Quadratum, which serves as an afterlife of sorts. "From Sora's perspective, Quadratum is an underworld, a fictional world that is different from reality, Nomura said. "But from the point of view of the inhabitants on the Quadratum side, the world of Quadratum is reality, and the world where Sora and the others were is the other side, the fictional world." Nomura added that Goofy and Donald Duck are searching for Sora in Kingdom Hearts IV , and if he were to return to his original reality, he'd start to resemble his more cartoonish design again so that he could fit back into his world. Oversized shoes and all. As fans have discovered, Quadratum has been referenced … [Read more...] about Kingdom Hearts 4 Director Explains The Game’s More Realistic Design

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – the story behind the biggest game of the year
Everything was Uncharted. You’ll have seen the jokes, no doubt – the ones that pointed out how many games at E3 2012 seemed to be based on an external interpretation of the Naughty Dog design document. That show brought a host of linear games built on tightly scripted spectacle, sacrificing player agency for the whims of a stubborn author. The complaint was aimed at other developers, at an industry in thrall to the cookie cutter, but it stung Naughty Dog by extension as well. Many of those games have since turned out to be nothing like Uncharted. At December’s PlayStation Experience (PSX) event, filmed live in Vegas and streamed around the world, Naughty Dog suggested Uncharted 4 wasn’t, in the E3 2012 pejorative sense of the term, very Uncharted either. Over the course of a day inside the Santa Monica studio, we are shown the proof of it. Within half an hour, game director Bruce Straley has summed it up perfectly. “There’s no one golden path,” he tells us. “It’s not just as simple as … [Read more...] about Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – the story behind the biggest game of the year
Gears Of War Getting MCC-Style Collection – Report
Microsoft is developing a Halo: The Master Chief Collection-style compilation package themed around Gears of War, according to a new report. Nick Baker of Xbox Era revealed this on a podcast recently. "A while back I said there is another Microsoft franchise that's getting the Master Chief Collection-type treatment, I am of the belief that that is coming this year," Baker said ( via VGC ), adding that this will be Gears of War. The Master Chief Collection launched in 2014 on Xbox One, and it struggled mightily at launch with server issues and other problems. Developer 343 Industries has supported, grown, and evolved the game significantly since then, and it's now in great shape-- even outperforming Halo Infinite on Steam. The package contains all mainline Halo titles (including remastered versions of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2), full multiplayer support, Forge, Theater, and more. The game is available on Xbox Game Pass for all subscribers. It remains to be seen … [Read more...] about Gears Of War Getting MCC-Style Collection – Report
