The Xbox One Backward Compatibility list just keeps on growing with today’s additions bringing a little bit more horror to the lineup. Xbox’s Major Nelson recently announced on Twitter that starting today, both Silent Hill: Homecoming and Silent Hill: HD Collection will be available as backward compatible Xbox 360 games for Xbox One. The addition of both of these titles on the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list brings the list close to 500 just for 360 games alone. Silent Hill: HD Collection is a remaster of both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 that originally released back in 2012 on both PS3 and Xbox 360. Call of Duty: MW3 Is Now Xbox One Backward Compatible
The Xbox One backward compatibility list has just been updated, adding Call of Duty: MW3 to the bunch. With the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, it’s exciting to see more franchise titles being available on the console. The Xbox One backward compatibility list has now over 500 video games released from the original Xbox and the Xbox 360 that you can now play on your current generation consoles. Just put in your disc and start playing, as with any Xbox One physical copy. Microsoft has bolstered the Xbox One library once again, adding more games to the backwards compatibility list. A total of three new Xbox 360 titles are all now playable on Xbox One, including a Metal Gear Solid and a Ghost Recon title.As shared by Microsoft's Larry Hryb on Twitter, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition is among the new games that can now be played on Xbox One. Peace Walker was originally released on PlayStation Portable and introduced some of the mechanics, like base-building, that would be key in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.Also now playable is Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which, as the name suggests, takes the traditionally realism-focused Ghost Recon and sets it in the future with advanced weaponry and technology.
