Originally released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in October 2017, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on Nintendo Switch on June 29. Switch has quite a few AAA ports already, including Skyrim and Doom 2016, but Wolfenstein II is a little different in that it's a direct sequel--and it's coming to a new platform before its predecessor does. For those who haven't played MachineGames' Wolfenstein series before, jumping in with The New Colossus might seem daunting.During E3 2018, we spoke to Adam Creighton, studio head at developer Panic Button--which also did the Doom port--about Wolfenstein on Switch. The second DLC story add-on for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, entitled ‘The Diaries of Agent Silent Death,’ has now been released, after first being announced back in November of last year. As the second post-release installment of the so-called ‘Freedom Chronicles’ season pass, ‘The Diaries of Agent Silent Death’ follows ‘Episode Zero,’ which was available from the launch of Wolfenstein 2 for those who pre-ordered or purchased the season pass, and ‘The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe,’ which was released in December. This DLC is available for £10, and casts the player as the titular ‘Agent Silent Death,’ former OSS agent Jessica Valiant, as she hunts down the three Nazis who tortured and killed her husband. Today, Maryland-based publisher Bethesda Softworks released the second DLC add-on for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. According to the press release, the second episode of three standalone expansions known as The Diaries of Agent Silent Death is now available on all platforms. The Diaries of Agent Silent Death puts players in the role of a former OSS agent and assassin named Jessica Valiant (also known as Agent Silent Death) who is tasked with unraveling a the Nazi propaganda film studio, Paragon Pictures’ evil plot. Unlike the fast-paced, action-packed gameplay you experience with B.J. Blazkowicz and Gunslinger Joe, Agent Silent’s gameplay consists of stealth-based deaths. The developers of the of the critically acclaimed Wolfenstein 2, MachineGames, have now opened their vacancies for the Network Programmers which might indicate that the studio might be looking to introduce multiplayer in its next project, Wolfenstein 3 maybe? Their first game from MachineGames was Wolfenstein: The New Order which launched in May 2014 and received many awards including “Game of the Year” & “Shooter of the Year” awards. The recent title from the studio is Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus which released on 27 October 2017. Wolfenstein 2 sold at a very quick pace and that was when the developers decided to recruit Network Programmers to strengthen their team.
