Curse of the Man-Thing brings together the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men for 50th birthday celebration

· March 3, 2021 ·

Marvel's bizarre, beastly Man-Thing turns 50 this year (first debuting in 1971's Savage Tales #1 ), and to celebrate writer Steve Orlando is penning a series of three one-shots under the banner Curse of the Man-Thing, which will pull in the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the X-Men as Man-Thing's odd fear powers are weaponized by a mysterious new villain known as Harrower. Along with artists Francesco Mobili, Marco Failla, and Andrea Broccardo on the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men one-shots, respectively, Orlando is planning an epic tale that will sweep across the entire Marvel Universe and show exactly what Man-Thing means to the publisher's legacy. Newsarama caught up with Orlando ahead of the March 31 release of Avengers: Curse of the Man-Thing (followed by Spider-Man: Curse of the Man-Thing on April 28, and X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing on May 5) to discuss Orlando's Marvel Comics debut, his own history with the publisher and with Man-Thing, and what he has planned for … [Read more...] about Curse of the Man-Thing brings together the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men for 50th birthday celebration

Move over Resident Evil Vampire Lady, Dead by Daylight’s new Killer is the latest video game crush

· March 4, 2021 ·

The newest Dead by Daylight Killer is the Trickster, a sexy K-Pop star that has the Internet crushing hard. The Resident Evil Village Vampire Lady (AKA Lady Dimitrescu) has some stiff competition when it comes to her current reign as the unofficially most thirsted after video game character of 2021. Social media has been buzzing with conversations about how undeniably sexy the Trickster is, with Dead by Daylight fans making fan art and Fan Cams for him. I first stumbled upon gaming's latest thirst trap on my TikTok For You Page yesterday, and promptly dropped down a rabbit hole of endless thirst. It's like the Sahara desert out there. @vikkizo Okay I won’t uninstall it #deadbydaylight#dbd#horror#pcgamer#fyp#kpop#pvp#dbdtiktok#pcgames#idol ♬ satisfaction - ♡ The Trickster is definitely hot - he has an absolutely gorgeous lilac/grey undercut, a bright yellow overcoat that's unbuttoned to show off his ripped torso, and low-rise magenta dress pants. He is … [Read more...] about Move over Resident Evil Vampire Lady, Dead by Daylight’s new Killer is the latest video game crush

New on ComiXology Unlimited (March 2021): All the comics and manga arriving

· March 2, 2021 ·

There is a plethora of comic books coming to Amazon's ComiXology Unlimited digital comics reading service in march - Marvel, DC, Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Boom! Studios, and more… but one big thing stands out. Vertigo. The complete runs of the original Hellblazer (300 issues!), Preacher (66 issues!), and Lucifer series (75 issues!) have been added to ComiXology Unlimited this month. In addition, over 200 issues of various Swamp Thing series have also been added. No specific reason has been given for this Vertigo-centric comics dump, but in some cases, it's best not to complain and just start reading (or re-reading, as the case may be). Some decidedly un-Vertigo fare being added as well this month is a heaping helping of Disney cartoon tales. Several collections have been added of Mickey House, Donald Duck, Donald and Mickey, Uncle Scrooge, and DuckTales. Staying on that anthropomorphic tip, there's also Snoopy: Beagle of Mars and six volumes of Garfield arriving this … [Read more...] about New on ComiXology Unlimited (March 2021): All the comics and manga arriving

Chris Evans explains why Anthony Mackie’s Falcon is the right choice for Captain America

· March 4, 2021 ·

Chris Evans has weighed in on the MCU's potential new Captain America – Anthony Mackie's Falcon, AKA Sam Wilson. Speaking to Variety , Evans commented: "[Falcon's] role within the Marvel universe has answered the call to action time and time again. He's proven his courage, loyalty and reliability over multiple films. Sam has given so much, and he's also lost a lot too. He believes in something bigger than himself, and that type of humility is necessary to carry the shield." Sounds like a ringing endorsement to us. Falcon looked set to be the new Cap for sure when the close of Avengers: Endgame saw original hero Steve Rogers hand over the shield. But Mackie has recently teased that he might not be the new Captain America after all . It also seems that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will have another contender for the mantle – new character US Agent (Wyatt Russell) is carrying a shield of his own. We can't think of anyone better suited to take on the Captain America … [Read more...] about Chris Evans explains why Anthony Mackie’s Falcon is the right choice for Captain America
