Chris Evans has weighed in on the MCU's potential new Captain America – Anthony Mackie's Falcon, AKA Sam Wilson. Speaking to Variety , Evans commented: "[Falcon's] role within the Marvel universe has answered the call to action time and time again. He's proven his courage, loyalty and reliability over multiple films. Sam has given so much, and he's also lost a lot too. He believes in something bigger than himself, and that type of humility is necessary to carry the shield." Sounds like a ringing endorsement to us. Falcon looked set to be the new Cap for sure when the close of Avengers: Endgame saw original hero Steve Rogers hand over the shield. Woo-hoo! You’ll never stop The Simpsons. The hit Fox-turned-Disney animated comedy, which began as a series of shorts on The Tracy Ullman Show way back in 1987, has been renewed for seasons 33 and 34, a move that will see the series mark its 750th episode. "It’s a sincere pleasure to announce the Season 33 and 34 pick-ups for The Simpsons. We keep hoping that, eventually, they’ll get it right," joked Charlie Collier, CEO, Fox Entertainment (via Deadline ). The Simpsons, which is currently airing its 32nd season, had been left in limbo in recent months. Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy had both been picked up for extra seasons, and there may have been lingering fears that Disney’s merger with Fox would spell the end for Springfield’s favorite family. Netflix product chief Greg Peters, who also became the streaming service's chief operating officer in 2020, says the company is poised to help lead the charge for further eroding theatrical windows preceding streaming debuts for content. Speaking with Deadline , Peters predicted, "It's what consumers want. It's hard to buck that trend for too long and I think that's eventually where things go."
