No Man's Sky is releasing on Nintendo Switch on October 7, 2022, Hello Games has announced. The Switch version of No Man's Sky was announced back in February and just last month Hello Games said it was putting the finishing touches on the port. Thankfully, it now seems there were little to no hiccups finalizing its release, as we're now officially only a few months away from launch. In a press release, Hello Games founder Sean Murray spoke about the immense challenge of porting such a large game, with a seemingly endless amount of procedurally generated worlds, onto the five-year old mobile Switch. Echoing similar remarks from a producer of the upcoming Super Mario movie made last fall , actor Chris Pratt--who will voice the titular plumber--said in a recent interview that his portrayal will be "unlike anything you've ever heard." Speaking with Variety to promote his upcoming Amazon Prime Video series The Terminal List , Pratt also touched briefly on the Nintendo film. "I worked really closely with the directors on trying out a few things and landed on something that I'm really proud of and can't wait for people to see and hear," Pratt said. Four years after Into the Breach’s original release, the game comes to mobile exclusively through the Netflix app. Subset Games took to Twitter to announce the Advanced Edition of Into the Breach. It is a free content update for all existing players and it also heralds a port of the new version to mobile through the Netflix app. The updates are expansive across every facet of the tactics game, which tasks you with leading time-traveling mech pilots attempting to prevent the end of the world . The Advanced Edition introduces five new mech squads as well as 40 additional weapons. More bosses, a wider variety of enemies, as well as new mission objectives await those squads. Four new pilots and new abilities also add to your arsenal. Outside of tactics, the Advanced Edition offers seven more languages and new music from Ben Prunty. Yu Suzuki, the creator of Shenmue, Space Harrier, and many other games, is releasing his latest, Air Twister, via Apple Arcade on June 24. Ahead of its release, we spent some time with the game and even had the chance to speak with Suzuki through a translator about the dream-like experience wherein you ride giant swans across alien landscapes. A former Assassin's Creed's developer has revealed that the original games' horses are, essentially, "just a twisted f**ked up human skeleton", alongside some other harrowing development titbits. Game developer Charles Randall explains on Twitter that the team had to improvise when creating horses for the game due to technical limitations. As such, they mangled the model of a human skeleton to make it look like a horse (thanks, RPS (opens in new tab) ). "Cheers to the amazing animators and riggers that managed to make that guy look like a horse," Randall tweets. Ubisoft also didn't have the budget for a custom skeleton or mesh for a one-armed character called Malik, leading the developers to turn one of his arms inside out to give the illusion the appendage was missing.
