APPLE'S next iPhone looks set to receive a major camera upgrade that will offer extreme zooming potential. With the next round of Apple smartphones just a few months away, a fresh rumour about the fruity handset has emerged. By the mid 2000s, most phones only had one camera – and it was terrible. Fast-forward to 2018 and the top blowers all have one snapper on the front, and a dual-lens camera on the back. So what's next for smartphone photography? Even more cameras! The Economic Daily News – based in Taiwan (home to Foxconn, the company that assembles iPhones) – reports that Apple will fit a future iPhone with three cameras on the back. That means Apple's iPhone 9 could have four cameras in total. Movies often miss their mark when it comes to predicting the future. I mean, where are our flying cars? I was promised flying cars. Having said that, there are several visionary films like Minority Report and 2001: A Space Odyssey that have managed to predict some aspects of technological innovation accurately. From predicting VR to self-driving cars, here's a list of movies that were ahead of their time. Robots - The Grim Game (1919) The first robot made its debut on film before the term "robot" was even coined. In the Harry Houdini black-and-white silent film The Grim Game, we see a humanoid-looking "automaton" named Q. We've since had numerous robots throughout history, but one relatively recent one that caught the attention of many is Sophia. Four days from today, Nintendo's latest console will go on sale. A little over four years since the launch of Wii U, a little over four months since Nintendo announced Switch, and to many, the system seems like a breath of fresh air — a game console Transformer full of potential with a steady stream of software to back it up. To some, though, the system seems incomplete. From early reports of controllers that don't properly sync to a limited launch lineup, a lack of non-game apps like Netflix, a missing Virtual Console library and lingering questions about the online service, there's a simplicity to Switch's launch that recalls the '90s — Zelda is Mario 64, and if you don't want that or a few other games, you might not need the system right away.
