We've been promised 4K capable graphics cards for a number of years now, but only a few current GPUs are actually able to deliver a good gaming experience at 4K. That will likely be changing over the next year as Nvidia's new RTX 2080 graphics cards arrive, but what about right now?If all you are looking to do is connect to a 4K monitor so that you can take advantage of the higher pixel density in Windows and in your favorite productivity software, most current graphics cards can output to a 4K monitor without any issues, provided they support the resolution and have either an HDMI 2.0 port or DisplayPort 1.2 or later connector (for 4K at 60Hz). But if you want to game without compromises at 4K—especially if you play more graphically demanding games—there are currently only three cards available that deliver, the GTX 1080 Ti, the Titan Xp and the Titan V. If you are willing to compromise on graphics settings then the pool of cards increases for 4K, but not by much.Nvidia … [Read more...] about What video card do I need for a 4K monitor?

HDR on PC is a bit of a mess, but provided you haven’t been put off by Windows 10’s hazy support for it or the astronomical prices of the best gaming monitors for HDR, then the next step on your path to high dynamic range glory is to get a graphics card that actually supports it. Below, you’ll find a complete list of all the Nvidia and AMD graphics cards that have built-in support for HDR, as well as everything you need to know about getting one that also supports Nvidia and AMD’s own HDR standards, G-Sync HDR and FreeSync 2. We’ve also put together a list of all the PC games that support HDR as well. There aren’t many of them, all told, but we’ll be updating this list with more titles as and when they come out so it’s always up to date. HDR: Nvidia graphics cards The good news is that all of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 900 and 1000 series desktop graphics cards are primed and ready for HDR straight out of the box. … [Read more...] about What graphics card do I need for HDR and what PC games support it?
Do my ears deceive me? Did Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang just say it will be “a long time” until the next GeForce GPU release at this year’s Computex show in Taiwan? What about all those Nvidia Turing rumours about a new Founders Edition card being available next month and a supposed proper reveal scheduled for August? I’m going to need some time to process this – perhaps with the help of Nvidia’s newly-announced robot platform pal, Issac. RPS: So Isaac, Nvidia just held their Computex keynote event in Taiwan. There was a lot of talk about Nvidia’s energy efficient Max-Q gaming laptops were doing well, and that gaming is now bigger than film yadda yadda yadda, but not very much about actual concrete graphics card news. Tell us what happened. Isaac: My name is Isaac, and I am powered by Nvidia’s Jetson Xavier DevKit that costs $1299, the single largest processor project in Nvidia’s history that … [Read more...] about Nvidia: Next GeForce graphics card won’t arrive for “a long time”
While the mining boom seems to be settling down, it has not stopped companies from marketing and releasing mining related product. One such new product is the new graphics cards from INNO3D that is a mining version of the GTX 1080 Ti as well as the Titan Xp. The graphics card is based on the GP100 GPU which is the same as what we get in the GTX 1080 Ti as well as the Titan Xp. These graphics cards do not have any display ports so if mining goes bust then these cards will be pretty much useless. The GTX 1080 Ti and the Titan Xp are very powerful cards and with such power, I am sure that miners are expecting some pretty high returns. If that is what you are interested in then what you need to know is that the rated maximum efficiency for Ethereum is 47MH/s. The base clock speed of the graphics card is 1,582MHz and the memory is clocked at 11,000MHz. The GPU also comes with 5 GB of GDDR5X memory. While the type of memory is the same the amount is less than the Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti as well … [Read more...] about INNO3D Launch GTX 1080 Ti And Titan Xp Mining Graphics Cards
Gaming laptops are becoming good value for money considering the increased pricing of graphics cards. Here we have the one of a kind MSI TITAN GT83VR that comes with the Intel i7 8850H. What makes this one of a kind you ask? The Intel i7 8850H CPU features 6 cores, something that we have not seen in a laptop as of right now except for the Chinese laptop that claims to come with an Nvidia Volta GTX 1180. Other than the 6 CPU cores, the MSI TITAN GT83VR also comes with dual Nvidia GTX 1080 graphics cards in SLI as well as 64 GB of RAM. It is safe to say that this killer laptop will run any game at 4K 60 FPS and running any game at a lower resolution would be foolish with these kinds of specifications under the hood. If you thought that the 6 core Intel i7 8850H was overkill then know that the CPU features an unlocked multiplier and can be overclocked if needed. Seeing how powerful this system is, I do not see why anyone would want to do that. You can check out some images of the laptop … [Read more...] about MSI TITAN GT83VR Comes With 6 Core Intel i7 8850H, Dual Nvidia GTX 1080 Graphics Card And 64 GB Of RAM
