The RTX 2060 is a convincing upgrade over the GTX 1060 it nominally replaces: significantly better raw performance, new real-time ray tracing capabilities and a long list of new and improved features. The only issue? The RTX 2060 is $100 more expensive than the GTX 1060 at $349, meaning its closest competitors ought to be the cards that it actually competes with on price: the GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti. That's where this article comes in, as we try to settle the argument of which of the three is the better card for the money. We'll look at how the RTX 2060, GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti handle games at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, including recent and major releases like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Far Cry 5. We'll also give our view on whether new features like RT and DLSS are worthwhile additions. The last section is all to do with the cards' current pricing and availability, and how they affect our recommendations.Click the links below to jump to one of these parts … [Read more...] about GeForce RTX 2060 vs GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti: which is best for 1080p and 1440p gaming?

Earlier today, Sony and Capcom unveiled the latest footage from the Resident Evil 2 remake, wowing audiences with the upgraded visuals. The faithfulness to the game’s original appearance and character designs is now even more apparent, as there are now comparison screenshots from the original PSX game and the latest trailer. The Resident Evil 2 comparisons, seen below, are surprisingly faithful to the original game. For example, the entrance to the Raccoon City police station has remained primarily identical to how it looked in the original, except of course for its new coat of polish courtesy of the latest console generation’s capabilities. In another shot, one of the crowded hallways series protagonist Leon Kennedy has to maneuver down looks as claustrophobic as ever, albeit with a few small changes. @pawel86ck said: @Pedro: If I'm Ron, than maybe you are Kim Kardashiam. Hell, even if I would be Ron himself (although I'm obviously not) that video that I have linked shows what it shows, and no one can deny it. I can assure you, my 1080ti can run this game at 4K ultra + MSAAx8, but GTX 1060 owners would have to run that game at 1440p, to get anywhere near locked 60fps. Your attempt at humor is quite Ron-esque. … [Read more...] about DF: Forza Motorsport 7 Demo: Xbox One vs Xbox One X vs PC Comparison!
For a large proportion of the last year, the more hopeful hardcore have been operating under the belief that the Wii U is a completely different kind of console to the Wii. We've been working on the assumption, cultivated by Nintendo, that the Wii's successor would be much more similar in culture to the Nintendo machines of old. Goodbye casual party crap, hello AAA good-times. But the thing is, despite the extra horsepower, I don't think the two machines currently are too dissimilar if you look at their respective early game line-ups. In fact having played a bunch of the Wii U's early games, I've spotted quite a few parallels between the two. Some are obvious, some are slightly more abstract, but there are certain game types and demographic-baiters that blatantly crop up in both launch-window line-ups. So much so, that I decided to make a comparison feature out of them, so that I could answer the most important question here. Is the Wii U a real change for Nintendo, or an HD … [Read more...] about Wii U vs. Wii: Are their games REALLY that different? And if not, which one does them better?
