Fighting games hit a brick wall, a dead end towards the end of what marked the golden era preceding the Street Fighter III series back in 2000. Even Capcom wouldn’t produce a sequel until way later, in 2008 which marked their comeback with Street Fighter IV. However, if we are to analyze how this genre has performed in the past couple of years then it’s safe to say, the fighting game scene is hotter than ever. We have back to back smash hits in this short duration, with Tekken 7, Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Soulcalibur 6 and as of late, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, all of which seem to breathe new life into the genre. New Virtua Fighter game has been anticipated by some of the Virtua Fighter fans. Recently, one of the fans asked Sega that he need a new Virtua Fighter game mainly the “Virtua Fighter 6”, but it appears that the game is not in the company’s agenda for the future at least, and also for quite some time. Back then In 2017, Sega released their lineup for E3 2017, fans expected that there will be a Virtua Fighter game in their lineup but the fans were disappointed as they won’t see Virtua Fighter 6 in their lineup which was expected in E3 2017 by fans. Virtua Fighter game Franchise started in the early 90’s as an experimental polygonal-based beat-em-up game before the game later evolved into something much bigger. Following the announcement made at Segafes in Akihabara, Tokyo, Sega showcased quite a bit of gameplay of its upcoming twin rhythm games Persona 5 Dancing Star Night and Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night. We get to see the two crossover DLC in action. The first, for Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night will feature a set of DLC costumes inspired by the Virtua Fighter series. On the other hand, the second DLC for Persona 5 Dancing Star Night will include costumes inspired by the Yakuza series, and a special Sonic outfit for Morgana. At the moment, we don’t know when the costumes will be released, or how much they’ll cost, but you can already see both in action in the video below, featuring Heartful Cry from Persona 3 and Hoshi to Bokura to (remixed by Tofubeats) from Persona 5. Today, during a broadcast from SegaFes in Akihabara, Tokyo, Sega announced crossover costumes for its upcoming twin rhythm games Persona 5 Dancing Star Night and Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night. Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night will get a set of DLC costumes inspired by the Virtua Fighter series. On the other hand, Persona 5 Dancing Star Night will get crossover costumes inspired by the Yakuza series, and a special Sonic costume for Morgana. Both DCL sets will be released as post-launch DLC. The Sega Genesis Flashback is an attempt to capture a seemingly new, or at least reinvigorated, market while also not being too ambitious. At $80, the same price as the Super Nintendo Classic Edition, the Genesis Flashback struggles to approximate the user experience of Nintendo’s throwback. Instead, it tries to best it with back-of-the-box bullet points that, while impressive sounding, do little to cement its superiority. Last year’s NES Classic Edition upended the low-end plug ‘n play console market, long dominated by a company called AtGames, which is responsible for the Atari and Genesis consoles littering checkout aisles everywhere.
