As it happens, PlayStation is expected to hold a PS5 reveal event the day after Maverick's own announced on Wednesday, June 3. Could the two reveals be related in some way? Electronic Arts has confirmed it'll be holding a digital EA Play event in June, too, so whatever happens, it won't be long until we hear more. … [Read more...] about Star Wars: Project Maverick rumoured to be officially announced next week

"It is a deliberate decision," Assassin's Creed Valhalla narrative director Darby McDevitt said on Twitter. "It's something that Eivor feels very strongly about. When he or she gets a hold of this hidden blade, it occurs to Eivor that it would be much more interesting to let people see this weapon, to be conspicuous about it. Single-player games will provide information like what missions you could do and what rewards you might receive for completing them—and all of those choices will be visible in the UI. In terms of which games players can expect to play, the full list hasn't been confirmed. However, Cerny noted that PS4's 100 most played games will be playable on PS5 at launch and all will run even better than before. "Running PS4 and PS4 titles at boosted frequencies has also added complexity," Cerny said. "The boost is truly massive this time around and some game code just can't handle it. Testing has to be done on a title by title basis. Results are excellent though. We recently took a look at the top 100 PlayStation 4 titles as ranked by playtime and we're expecting almost all of them to be playable at launch on PlayStation 5." … [Read more...] about PlayStation 5: Everything We Know About It — Reveal Event, Launch Games, PS5 Release Date Rumors, And More
