I'm fairly new to android game dev but after some months of work I finished making my game in ue4. However, when uploading it to google play on an alpha track and then trying to launch the app, it crashes. The error itself might be connected to either gradle or proguard (from what I gathered in information over the past 2 days), but as the build.gradle file in unreal projects gets a reset with every fresh build, I can't just edit that. I've also read in the forums by one unreal dev how you are supposed to add dependencies to the build.gradle by using an "additions.gradle" file, but there was no further documentation about that. I have already looked up every thread online with a similar problem - yet none of those could solve my problem. Crash logs: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: at com.google.android.gms.c.c.<clinit> (Unknown Source) at com.epicgames.ue4.GameActivity.onCreate (GameActivity.java:2785) at android.app.Activity.performCreate (Activity.java:7383) at … [Read more...] about Unreal Android game crashes after google play integration
Uploading android app to google play
ANDROID phone owners need to immediately check their smartphones for dangerous apps. Cybersecurity experts have revealed a long list of malicious apps that can steal your bank info – and have been installed by tens of thousands of users. Tech security firm ESET says all of the apps have now been removed from the Google Play Store, but phone users will need to delete them manually. The dangerous apps "masquerade" as device boosters and cleaners, battery managers and horoscope apps – but they're actually eleborate hacking tools. "Malware authors keep testing the vigilance of Android users by sneaking disguised mobile banking Trojans into the Google Play Store," wrote ESET's Lukas Stefanko. "They can intercept and redirect text messages to bypass SMS-based two-factor authentication, intercept call logs, and download and install other apps on the compromised device." By sending and receiving texts from your device, it's possible for hackers to gain access to almost any of your … [Read more...] about These Android apps will STEAL your bank info and send fake texts – uninstall them now
GAMERS across the globe are eagerly awaiting the release of addictive video game Fortnite for Android. While it has been available on PC and home consoles for some time, it's only recently hit iOS - and Epic Games have now confirmed it's coming to Android this summer. When is Fortnite available on Android? Fortnite is available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and came out on iOS devices after an invite-only beta in March 2018. Epic Games are yet to confirm an exact date for Fortnite on Android phones but have now confirmed they are targeting August 2018. Epic Games have promised a Battery Saver mode, advanced stat tracking for mobile users, and a reduction in the size of the download needed to play. On iOS, the game takes up approximately 2GB -- compared to 10.3GB for Windows PCs. It is not known at this stage how much space the Fornite Android apk download will take up. FORTNITE is already on iPhone, and it's about to land on Android smartphones too – but most Android users may have quite a long wait before they get to play it. We already knew that Fortnite for Android was expected to be exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for 30 days after the new phone launches in August -- and it is now being suggested that once those 30 days are up, it will only be available on other Samsung devices for up to three more months. That's not the only complication. Epic Games has also confirmed the game WON'T be on Google's App Store, with Epic CEO Tim Sweeney blaming the "30 per cent store tax", a reference to the cut of all app sales Google takes. Eager gamers will have to download the official installer from Epic directly instead. After the exclusivity period ends, Epic says that roughly one in ten Android phones in the wild will be able to run Fortnite. "Fortnite requires a recent high-end Android smartphone," Sweeney told Gamesindustry.biz. … [Read more...] about Fortnite NOT coming to Android app store as most gamers face a much longer wait than expected
A SHADY Despacito ringtone app for Android designed to trick users into forking over cash has been downloaded 50,000 times from the Google Play Store. A total of 15 malicious apps were uploaded to the online store by notorious criminal cybergang AsiaHitGroup, according to McAfee's mobile research team. And the Despacito ringtone app was by far the most popular of the lot, its downloads surging in tandem with the chart-topping success of the song, which also boasts the most-watched YouTube video of all time (with over 5billion views). The deceptive apps didn't even ask for permission to use your phone's camera, mic or location – a giveaway that something dodgy is at play. All the software needed was access to SMS messages. Once granted, the apps worked as normal, but behind the scenes they were running a fake installer app dubbed "Sonvpay". The sneaky tech then silently sent users push notifications to subscribe them to premium-rate services, effectively siphoning off their cash. … [Read more...] about Google Play Store scam warning – Despacito ringtone app steals cash from victims
