Pokemon Go developer Niantic has revealed why it chose to make changes to the app’s long-running Community Days. In an interview with Kotaku (opens in new tab) (thanks, Nintendo Life (opens in new tab) ), Pokemon Go ’s live game director Michael Steranka spoke about the recent changes made to the game and why the company is making small steps to seemingly return the game back to its pre-pandemic state, slowly reversing the adjustments that were made during the COVID-19 pandemic which helped Trainers stay inside. One of the main changes made to Community Days was outlined in a recent post by Niantic (opens in new tab) announcing the upcoming April 22 Stufful Community Day. In an update shared to the post, Niantic said that it was reducing its Community Days from six hours down to three, following positive player feedback. The Resident Evil 2 remake PS5 upgrade, and its Resident Evil 3 counterpart, are the extension of an ongoing trend. As most recently illustrated by The Last of Us: Part 1 – the fully-fledged Last of Us remake PS5 players are set to welcome later this year – nostalgia in the horror genre is popular. Resident Evil 4 is being remade from the ground up. As is Dead Space, Layers of Fear, and System Shock. There's even rumors of Silent Hill 2 being redone some 21 years since its first arrival. Hidetaka Miyazaki wants to make “more abstract fantasy” as if Elden Ring wasn’t abstract enough
Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki has said he wants to make "more abstract fantasy" in the future, with a lot of the ideas he currently has not fitting in with FromSoftware’s current games line-up. In an interview with Japanese outlet 4Gamer (opens in new tab) , (and highlighted by Twitter user @Nibellion (opens in new tab) ) Miyazaki was asked about his future plans following the success of Elden Ring and responded with the news that he’d like to work on something he refers to as "abstract fantasy." In the same interview, Miyazaki explained that he has come up with a lot of images and ideas for a future project but they don’t fit in with FromSoftware’s previous titles.
