Home • Guides • 5 Dave Irwin Guides Writer 13th June 2019 / 1:42PM They just keep coming don’t they? A lot of games were announced at E3 2019, things that we didn’t know about, as well as stuff that’s previously announced, or expansions to already released games. Now, to the casual outsider, what we’re doing might seem absolutely nuts, but we thought we’d put together an alphabetical list of all the PC games that have been confirmed to appear at this year’s E3 show. With well over a hundred of them now in the books, the next year or so looks packed. Not going to lie, I’m beginning to regret doing this. If you would like to know when the conferences are, you can check out our E3 2019 streams guide – which will eventually have details on how you can watch each of the publisher’s conferences live. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition PS4 and Xbox One Release Date Revealed
By Marc Deschamps - December 8, 2019 10:39 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 Last year, Obsidian Entertainment announced Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Originally released on PC in 2018, the isometric RPG met with fairly strong reviews upon release, making its upcoming console version all the more tempting for those who prefer those particular platforms. It's been a while since new information has been revealed about the upcoming port, but Obsidian Entertainment has now announced that the game will arrive for PS4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2020. As of this writing, no announcement has been made about when Switch owners will be able to get their hands on the game, however. In Pillars of Eternity II, the god Eothas has awoken, destroying the player's kingdom, and stealing a part of their soul in the process. Now, it threatens the entire Deadfire Archipelago, and the player must assemble a group of heroes … [Read more...] about Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition PS4 and Xbox One Release Date Revealed
Divided We Fall? – THQ Properties To Be Sold Individually
Home • PC Game News • 136 Nathan Grayson Contributor 8th January 2013 / 10:00AM OK, hold onto the floppier parts of your brain, because this is about to get a bit complicated. So remember how THQ went bankrupt and fell into bed with “stalking horse bidder” Clearlake Capital? Well, the primary intent of all that was to keep THQ in one piece while dealing with that nasty little “having basically no money” thing, but – at the 11th hour – there was a twist. Creditors decided THQ’s all-or-nothing sales approach wasn’t fair to them (it’d probably pull in less money, after all), and a US bankruptcy court judge agreed. So now THQ’s gone from monolithic one-gulp meal to easily chopped up buffet, and rumor has it that a number of major players are interested in various series, games, and franchises. GamesIndustry International brings word that Clearlake’s attempt at a quick-and-dirty $60 million … [Read more...] about Divided We Fall? – THQ Properties To Be Sold Individually
THQ Filing For Bankruptcy, Selling Off Assets
Home • PC Game News • 147 Nathan Grayson Contributor 19th December 2012 / 10:24PM Oh boy. Remember how things haven’t been going so hot for THQ lately? If you’ve somehow forgotten, do you remember your name or any key facts about yourself? Have you hit your head or recently traveled forward to this time period? Are you an amnesiac, infant, or ghost? AT ANY RATE, we’ve finally reached the expected conclusion of this rather depressing series of events, but – as ever – there’s a twist. In spite of how the word “bankrupt” – which is derived from the root “bank account ruptured and screamed in agony as warm monetary lifeblood erupted from its depleted tubules” – often connotates, THQ isn’t doomed yet. Instead, it’s merely employed some tricksy business maneuvers to dodge an avalanche of debt. For now, though, your favorite game series are safe. In short, the Chapter 11 … [Read more...] about THQ Filing For Bankruptcy, Selling Off Assets
Dawn of War 3 in development, will be more “MMO-like” says THQ boss
THQ core games boss Danny Bilson has told Eurogamer that development on Dawn of War 3 is well underway at Relic. Eurogamer understand that the third game in the series will take elements from the first and second games and "add something new." Bilson previously told EG that Dawn of War 3 will "have a much larger strategic component to it, more of a global battle going on with little tactical things, sort of MMO-like."Bilson gave a rough estimate for a release date, too, saying the game will likely ship sometime between August 2012 and February 2013. Yesterday, Bilson teased a big new Relic RTS announcement for this year's Gamescom. "This one's built to announce at that place," he said. "I feel like an ass saying it's fantastic, but it is. And we're going to do something with it you haven't seen before."Bilson originally said that Dawn of War 3 might end up being "a more digital free-to-play experience," depending on the success of Company of Heroes Online .
