Activision has been dropping a few teasers for a Crash Team Racing remaster, and it looks like the official reveal is happening this week. Throughout the week, Activision has been sending out packages to influencers, and games media people that hint at some impending Crash-related announcement. The publisher did this prior to the reveal of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, sending out Spyro eggs. In this case, some received cookies, while others, such as PlayStation Access’ Hollie Bennett, were sent a much less subtle hint with this pair of fuzzy dice. Orange is Crash’s colour, and there’s a big emphasis on sliding – something you do a lot of in cart racers. According to Eurogamer, Activision will officially announce the Crash Team Racing remaster this week. The Game Awards takes place this week, of course, and we can’t think of a bigger event to drop the announcement. Crash Team Racing, like the original Crash trilogy, was a PlayStation exclusive. Seeing as how … [Read more...] about Crash Team Racing remaster getting unveiled at The Game Awards this week – report
The list of safe bets for announcements at this year’s Game Awards is getting long, and now we can add a remake of CTR: Crash Team Racing to the list. A small, orange, fuzzy tease points to the official reveal later this week, and it looks like Activision aims to follow up on the tremendous success of previous PlayStation One remakes by bringing back the kart racer. Hollie Bennett, manager of PlayStation UK’s official YouTube channel, noted the arrival of an unusual package on social media. It contained a pair of orange, fuzzy dice and a note that something will be “sliding into the Game Awards” on December 6. Fuzzy dice suggests cars and orange fuzz suggests gaming’s favourite bandicoot. It’s also similar to the purple egg used to tease the Spyro remaster. As Eurogamer notes, this isn’t the first time the possibility of a CTR remake began floating around the internet. Hints toward the news surfaced on Facebook earlier this week, though it … [Read more...] about CTR: Crash Team Racing remake will reportedly debut at The Game Awards

There is one, though, that seems to have a very strong chance of actually being true, and it’s that the Crash Bandicoot racing title, Crash Team Racing, will be getting a full-fledged remaster, and could be announced during TGA 2018’s ceremonies. Earlier this week on the official Crash Bandicoot Facebook page, the cover photo was updated with a picture of a very simple checkerboard pattern which, while rather unassuming at first sight, matches the background of Crash Team Racing‘s main menu screen. Not only that, but also PlayStation Access presenter Holly Bennett uploaded a photo to the Twitter page of a pair of orange, fuzzy dice, alongside … [Read more...] about Crash Team Racing Remaster To Be Announced?
If you have enjoyed the recent rebound of Crash Bandicoot into the video game spotlight, there seems to be a good news on the horizon. Speculation has mounted this week that a Crash Team Racing remaster is underway, and a recent tweet showing fuzzy dice may be an indicator it will be revealed sooner than later. Rumors have been popping up across Facebook fan pages of Crash Bandicoot about a potential revival in the last few days. The Crash Bandicoot PS4 page on Facebook , for example, posted a picture of a checkered flag. While that doesn’t mean much, another development today seems to indicate there may be something to the speculation. Playstation Access presenter and channel manager Hollie Bennett tweeted a picture of fuzzy orange dice that looked an awful lot like Crash Bandicoot’s fur color. A message above the dice read “Sliding into the Game Awards on 6/12…. – Anonymous”. Additionally, Eurogamer seems to indicate that there … [Read more...] about Rumor: Crash Team Racing Remaster to Appear at the Game Awards
