Fortnite Android download scams rise as mobile release nears
ENTERPRISING scammers have been targeting Android users on YouTube and other social media platforms as they look to profit off the hype surrounding Fortnite on Android. Epic Games has been promising that Fortnite would be coming to Android phones this summer for several months, but the void left by the lack of concrete detail on offer has been filled by hackers, scammers and all manner of other online ne'er-do-wells. This has only increased in recent days, according to GameRant. This comes after Epic Games has also confirmed the game WON'T be on Google's App Store, with Epic CEO Tim Sweeney blaming the "30 per cent store tax", a reference to the cut of all app sales Google takes. Fortnite on Switch: you can use party chat without needing the ridiculous mobile app
By Sherif Saed, Wednesday, 13 June 2018 10:36 GMT It turns out Fortnite players on Switch need not turn to the Switch Online mobile app up to talk to their friends in the game. The Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite, which only just launched, includes native support for voice chat. In other words, you can plug a headset into the headphone jack on the Switch to use it. Amid a rising tide of games, devs reflect on state of the Switch market
The Nintendo Switch has played host to a sort of gold rush for game developers over the past few months, with many claiming great sales on the platform - in many cases far more than Steam or other consoles, and in a much shorter timeframe. “It was incredible. The Switch is our most successful platform by far. We went past 100K copies sold on Switch a while ago now,” says Omar Cornut of Lizardcube, developers of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. “It was definitely a good move to port and publish Morphite on the Switch," says Ben Lee, of Morphite dev Blowfish Studios. "Our game sales for Morphite on the Nintendo eShop have been much higher than other consoles and Steam. It does require more effort to get games on the Switch, but the sales numbers make up for the cost of that effort." With so many positive claims coming from developers, it almost seems foolish for others not to develop for the Switch. However, with a new console … [Read more...] about Amid a rising tide of games, devs reflect on state of the Switch market
