The trollest bait in Warzone from r/CODWarzone If you find a killstreak on the ground in Call of Duty: Warzone you usually rejoice the free goodies - but a recent Reddit video has made finding a floor UAV highly sus. A Reddit user posted a video of what they themselves describe as "the trollest bait in Warzone", and I have to agree with them. During a Fire Sale, the player and their teammates buy a bunch of UAVs, Cluster Strikes, and Precision Airstrikes. They then meticulously pick them up and swap them out, eventually moving all of them to within a hangar in the Boneyard area of the Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk map. The results are about a dozen killstreaks lying in the perceived protection of a hangar, just waiting to be picked up by an unsuspecting player. With the bait set, the Redditor and his teammates climb up a ladder in the hangar and go prone, lying in wait not unlike an apex predator, if apex predators were trolls. It's not long before a lone player walks … [Read more...] about Call of Duty: Warzone killstreak bait trick is a special kind of evil

Batman writer James Tynion IV breaks down the new Infinite Frontier era start with #106
A new DC era begins this week - 'Infinite Frontier.' Spearheaded by the 64-page special Infinite Frontier #0 , it's also carried along by Batman #106 - the latest issue of longtime best-selling ongoing title in all of DC's line. Returning after a two-month break for 'Future State,' writer James Tynion IV and artist Jorge Jimenez return to Gotham and establish a cyberpunk-ish new era for the town - while at the same time showing Batman fighting for a win after losing his fortune in last year's ' The Joker War .' Spoilers ahead for Batman #106. In this week's issue, the Dark Knight is once again trying to fight crime in his town - with the help of Oracle and the newly-introduced Ghostmaker. At the same time, the looming possible future of Gotham (as seen in 'Future State') as a … [Read more...] about Batman writer James Tynion IV breaks down the new Infinite Frontier era start with #106
Outriders Demo Patch Is Coming Next Week
The recent demo for upcoming looter-shooter Outriders has been played by over two million people in just a week. Developer People Can Fly isn't resting on its laurels, however, with a significant patch set to arrive at some point next week that fixes a number of issues ahead of the game's full release on April 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia. Connectivity issues were a problem when the demo launched last week, so People Can Fly is currently working on the game's backend to ensure the same thing doesn't happen when the full game launches. The developer says that while its infrastructure was ready for the raw number of expected players, the speed with which they were joining exceeded its expectations and the backend systems were unable to scale in time. People Can Fly also reiterated that any changes to the demo need to be carefully balanced with its work towards launching the full game. With that in mind, a patch for the demo is set … [Read more...] about Outriders Demo Patch Is Coming Next Week
Microsoft Mesh is humanity’s jaw-dropping hologram future
At the Microsoft Ignite conference, the company's Alex Kipman unveiled a new hologram-based mixed-reality communication platform called Microsoft Mesh. This thing is jaw-dropping. Its most basic purpose is allowing people in different physical locations to join a shared environment, with 3D capture technology creating a hologram of each person therein (a process Microsoft insists on calling 'holoportation'), all running atop the company's cloud platform Azure. There's some forgiveable exagerration at points in the above precis of the Ignite presentation (no, this is not 'teleporting' people), but it showcases the potential for this technology far beyond mere business meetings. A family watching huge shoals of fish on the ocean floor, the software highlighting certain species with information as the father points (yes the world is becoming a video game). Engineers and mechanics messing around with hologrammatic equipment, finger-controlled UI overlays altering the working … [Read more...] about Microsoft Mesh is humanity’s jaw-dropping hologram future
