Bandai Namco has kicked off a Soul Calibur 6 documentary series in anticipation of the game’s eventual release. "Growing up I'd read articles and see pictures in Nintendo Power about behind-the-screen game development," says Andrew Aversa, lead designer and programmer at Impact Gameworks, who recently released roguelike dungeon crawler Tangledeep. "I thought it was so interesting, but that fell by the wayside." Though games were his first love, it was music, specifically game music, that captured his attention in his formative years. Aversa is best known as Zircon, one of the most prolific videogame remixers and professional game-focused composers in the industry. "In 2002 a friend introduced me to Music Maker 2000 Deluxe," he says. "I had taken piano lessons as a kid and liked it, but once I could make music on a computer I got really into it. Being able to adjust knobs and sliders to create different sounds—I couldn’t get enough of it."The early 2000s were also the Wild West days of Napster. Aversa delighted in using it to find original remixes for some of his favorite games. … [Read more...] about How a videogame composer designed the Tangledeep RPG

Those fans, in a way, got their wishes when the game added a new story campaign, as well as Ultra Instinct Goku, Jiren, Android 17, and Fu (a new character). Still, the debate between which game is better continues, with a Xenoverse 3 rumor often re-occurring. However, a new rumor suggests that the next Dragon Ball game will not be a sequel to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Instead, it’s rumored to be an action role-playing game based on the original Dragon Ball series. As awesome as that sounds, some in the fandom would be disappointed in the lack of a sequel to Xenoverse, which is an understandable reaction. Of course, as with most rumors, this new one should be taken with a grain of salt. It is worth noting, however, that this rumor comes courtesy of Dasvergeben, a well-known leaker in the fighting game community for revealing … [Read more...] about Rumor: Next Dragon Ball Game Not Xenoverse 3?
