The very first She-Hulk trailer is here and it confirms the previously leaked August 17 release date for the Disney Plus series. The trailer starts off with some words of advice from seasoned superhero Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), who we get to see as the Hulk – specifically his Professor Hulk persona introduced in Avengers: Endgame – for the first time since Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. More importantly, we finally have our first look at Tatiana Maslany as the titular attorney at law, Jennifer Walters. Walters is a reluctant superhero who just wants to be a normal, non-green attorney, date around, and enjoy time with her friends, but she's afflicted with a familiar and terrifying problem: she transforms into She-Hulk when she's angry or scared. Naturally, as the only other known human with experience with this sorta thing, her cousin Bruce Banner arrives at some point to show her the ropes. In the comics , She-Hulk is a member of The Avengers' … [Read more...] about She-Hulk series gets first trailer and Disney Plus release date

Mayans MC: CM Punk On The Importance Of Telling His Character’s Story
When AEW's CM Punk made his first appearance as Paul, Gilly's (Vincent "Rocco" Vargas) military veteran friend in Season 2 of FX's Mayans MC , it was a shock. Practically unannounced before airing, Punk's appearance on such a high-profile show was a delight for wrestling fans. Once the character's story started to unfold over the fourth and fifth episode of the season, though, it quickly became clear how important a story it was. Paul, like many who have served in the military, is dealing with a pretty severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder. We see this first at a birthday party in Episode 4, "A Crow Flew By," when he loses his temper at another party guest. Of course, things took a much darker turn in Episode 5, "Death of the Virgin." The following contains spoilers for the fifth episode of Mayans MC Season 4, "Death of the Virgin." If you've yet to watch the latest installment, you should stop reading now. Early in the episode, Gilly is called to Paul's home, and it's … [Read more...] about Mayans MC: CM Punk On The Importance Of Telling His Character’s Story
How Does Cross Worlds Fit Into The Ni No Kuni Universe?
Historically, Ni no Kuni has taken an almost Final Fantasy-style approach to sequels. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and its only-in-Japan counterparts, Dominion of the Dark Djinn for DS and Hotroit Stories for mobile devices, exist as one story. The console sequel, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, takes place many generations later, with any ties to the original basically functioning as fun Easter eggs. Characters and plot don't move between games, but themes, the art style, and certain enemies and races do. The 2019 Ni no Kuni movie took a similar approach and did not feature direct overlap with the games. The upcoming No no Kuni mobile MMO, Cross Worlds, is continuing the tradition and not relying on the story that came before it. But there are plenty of reasons to recognize Cross Worlds as a legitiamte Ni no Kuni game that understands its roots--and it might be more of proper sequel than assumed. The original Ni no Kuni tells the story of a young boy who loses his mother … [Read more...] about How Does Cross Worlds Fit Into The Ni No Kuni Universe?

New Silent Hill Games: Everything We Know (And Want To See)
It has been a very, very long time since we've seen anything from the Silent Hlil series, with a full decade having passed since the release of Silent Hill: Book of Memories on Vita--and an almost unbelievable eight years since PT gave fans hope for the Hideo Kojima-led reboot Silent Hills. Now, however, it appears we could finally be returning to Konami's legendary horror series, and it could be with multiple games. Here's what we know--including rumors--about the Silent Hill franchise's future, as well as what we hope to see as we head into Summer Game Fest and the other Not-E3 events in June. Multiple games? Despite being on ice for so long, it appears the Silent Hill franchise will be returning with not just one, but several different games . Assuming reports on these games are accurate, Konami seems to be catering to multiple different types of players across these titles rather than trying to produce one game capable of pleasing them all. According to Grubbsnax host … [Read more...] about New Silent Hill Games: Everything We Know (And Want To See)
Stranger Things Season 4 Details Leaked in Monopoly Set, Creators Are Unhappy
If you're a serious Stranger Things fan as well as a serious Monopoly fan, you might want to hold off a bit longer before diving into the new themed edition of the classic board game, because it spoils some pretty major plot points from Stranger Things Season 4 . Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer are not happy about it, according to The Hollywood Reporter . While the Duffer Brothers are reportedly quite involved with marketing efforts for their massively successful Netflix series, the show is too big at this point for them to see everything, and the game seems to have slipped by, causing the brothers to have a "total meltdown" according to sources. The toy and board game industries move at a different pace from the film and television industries and has been a source of spoilers more than once in recent years, frustrating creators and fans alike. As THR notes, Jon Favreau fiercely protected Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda or The Child, from spoilers, causing the associated … [Read more...] about Stranger Things Season 4 Details Leaked in Monopoly Set, Creators Are Unhappy
Horizon Zero Dawn demake takes Aloy back to the PS1 era
This Horizon Zero Dawn PS1 demake imagines Aloy's adventure as it might've looked had it launched back in 1996. The 60-second video demake shows the iconic PS1 startup screen followed by Horizon Zero Dawn's title sequence, loading screen, and then a little bit of gameplay. Aloy starts her retro journey at a campfire before making her way to the base of a cliff, climbing up the top, and being downed by a thunderjaw. Befitting of the time, Aloy succumbs to her wounds in a melodramatic death screen with an all-black background and the words "you died" front and center. It isn't long, but it does do a good job rewinding the clock a few generations on one of the best PS4 games . The video's creator, who goes by ZeoNyph on YouTube and Reddit , says it was modeled, rendered, and textured in Blender and inspired by classic PS1 games like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil. It's unclear if we'll see any more of their Horizon Zero Dawn PS1 demake, but seeing as the video is already getting … [Read more...] about Horizon Zero Dawn demake takes Aloy back to the PS1 era
Take-Two plans to double its rollout of big games in the next year
Take-Two Interactive plans to double its rollout of big games in the next year, the company revealed in an earnings presentation today. The company vaguely laid out its launch plans for the current fiscal year and as far out as 2025. This year we know about The Quarry , Supermassive's spiritual successor to Until Dawn, launching June 10, as well as Marvel's Midnight Suns , which is slated to launch sometime later this year. And of course you can count on yearly releases in the NBA and PGA series, but Take-Two now says it has "twice as many immersive core titles" planned before the fiscal year 2023 ends next March compared to the previous year. Immersive core games, in Take-Two's words, are those with "the deepest gameplay and the most hours of content." The Quarry and Marvel's Midnight Suns are included in that category as well as tentpole franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, and sports games like NBA 2K and PGA 2K. Before the 2025 fiscal … [Read more...] about Take-Two plans to double its rollout of big games in the next year
Shang-Chi star Simu Liu expands on his Moon Knight comments
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has expanded on his criticism of the Marvel series Moon Knight . "Alright Arthur Harrow needs to fire his Mandarin teacher," Liu wrote on Twitter about a scene in the show that saw Ethan Hawke's villainous cult leader speaking the language to one of his followers. "I think there's maybe a misconception that Marvel is this kind of monolithic, all-powerful single organism with infinite resources," Liu told GQ , when asked if, in light of the Moon Knight scene, Shang-Chi was a one-off act of representation. "I think that it's easy to allocate the blame to Marvel as a whole. If you really break it down, there was a translator that probably shouldn't have been a translator. There were probably a couple of people in the decision-making process that should have raised a flag that didn't." He continued: "I have full appreciation for the fact that Mandarin is not an easy language. I didn't want to make it into a … [Read more...] about Shang-Chi star Simu Liu expands on his Moon Knight comments
