The biggest showcases of E3 2022 have now drawn to a close. And while we've been treated to dozens of pretty cinematic trailers, promising gameplay reveals, remakes and reworkings over the last several days – not least during the Xbox and Bethesda Games event, and Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest – there are plenty of games that, for one reason or another, failed to peak their heads above the development trenches. We've already highlighted the 10 Xbox Series X exclusives that weren't shown during the Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase , but here we take a broader look at the big-hitters and most intriguing projects that we'd have loved to have seen more of, but sadly didn't. Without further ado, here are 15 of the biggest games posted missing at E3 2022. God of War: Ragnarok Given Sony and Santa Monica Studio's much-anticipated follow-up to 2017's God of War is still, at the time of writing, scheduled to arrive this year, it seems pretty incredible we didn't see at … [Read more...] about 15 biggest games still missing in action after E3 2022

Final Fantasy 7 Remake community got baited by a toddler
Final Fantasy 7 Remake's community just got baited in the worst way - by a toddler. Earlier this week, the tweet just below gained huge traction online, as one user noticed a red ring seemingly orbiting the Buster Sword on Final Fantasy 7 Remake's opening start screen. Users began speculating that this was a prelude to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth , announced just last week, which prominently featured red text among its key art. Holy heck, and now this Rebirth colour effect has been added to the title screen when you boot up Final Fantasy VII Remake. pic.twitter.com/EVRIzD0upn June 23, 2022 See more However, it wasn't to be. The same Twitter user who made the initial supposed discovery then updated his Twitter account later that same day - it turns out his toddler had lobbed a toy at the TV screen, causing it to give off the unusual red circle emanating around Cloud's Buster Sword, instead of the actual game doing it deliberately. Folks, I’m so sorry. False … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy 7 Remake community got baited by a toddler
New The Raid movie is a “reimagining” of the original, not a remake
The new Raid movie isn't strictly a remake, director Patrick Hughes has said. The upcoming film will be set in Philadelphia's "Badlands," and will follow a DEA task force undercover on the hunt for the city's kingpin. "It's not a remake as such, it's a reimagining and it's taking what was so incredibly crazy with that hook. It's a very nitty-gritty, real world in that. Stepping into the straight action-thriller, but it's on that saga level and that's a project that I'm really, really excited about," Hughes told ComicBook.com (opens in new tab) . "There's not too much I'm allowed to say, but it is something where we're really... I'm excited because I have come off a big run of doing action comedies and I love that genre and I'm certainly going to be working [in] it again in the future, but for now, I've got two projects and the other's a big action, sci-fi, horror, thriller, survival, epic movie," he continued. "There are just a couple of different genres I want to step into … [Read more...] about New The Raid movie is a “reimagining” of the original, not a remake

As for Abby, the WLF fighter goes berserk on a group of infected instead of human enemies, taking them out with precision rifle shots and brutal curb stomps. Final Fantasy Record Keeper is closing down after seven years
Seven years after its release, fans are bidding farewell to Final Fantasy Record Keeper. Despite having the word final in its title, Square Enix's long-running RPG series shows no signs of stopping. With Final Fantasy 16 set to release next year and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth announced as the second instalment in the remake trilogy, there's certainly a lot for fans to get excited about. But one fantasy that is coming to an end is the free-to-play mobile title Final Fantasy Record Keeper . Square Enix has announced it's pulling the plug on Final Fantasy Record Keeper on September 29. With the gacha game officially shutting down, gems will no longer be available to purchase from August 30. Square Enix hasn't given a reason for its decision, but perhaps the game's player base has dwindled since its launch over seven years ago on March 25, 2015. "We make this announcement with a heavy heart, but hope you will be left with fond memories of adventure once this journey … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy Record Keeper is closing down after seven years
Tony Hawk Says Pro Skater 3 + 4 Was In Development Before Activision Pulled The Plug On It
After Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released in late 2020 to positive reviews and sales , plans to give Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 the remake treatment were in development at Vicarious Visions but it was canceled according to the cover star of the skateboarding series. It sounds like CKY drummer Jess Margera was telling the truth . In a livestream with Neversoft and Vicarious Visions veteran andyTHPS , Hawk said that the project was effectively killed after Activision merged the studio into Blizzard and rebranded it. "I mean that was the plan, you know, even up until the release date of this [THPS1+2] we were going 3 and 4, and then Vicarious got kind of absorbed, and then they were looking for other developers, and then it was over." Hawk added that Activision did accept pitches from other studios to take over the project, but they didn't trust any other team to get the job done in the same way that Vicarious Visions had done. "They didn’t like anything they heard, … [Read more...] about Tony Hawk Says Pro Skater 3 + 4 Was In Development Before Activision Pulled The Plug On It
