Evil West , the supernatural Wild West action game from Shadow Warrior 2 developer Flying Wild Hog, has been delayed by another two months. First announced at the 2020 Game Awards for a 2021 release, the game was first delayed to September 2022, and has now been pushed back again with a new release date of November 22, 2022. The delay was announced via an image on Twitter , with the developers citing the pressures of developing across five platforms and multiple console generations as a reason for the delay. Evil West is intended for release on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The announcement adds that Evil West has been well-received by audiences who checked out the demo earlier this year at PAX East, but that the extra few months of development time is neccessary for polish. "We understand that game delays may be frustrating, but it's a necessary step to deliver the best experience to everyone," the announcement adds. Thymesia: Best Plague Weapons
Thymesia eschews a traditional magic system in favor of its plague weapon mechanic, which allows you to absorb weapons from your enemies and use them in retaliation. Early in the game, you also unlock the ability to choose a plague weapon to equip and use at will--provided you have enough energy to do so. By farming enemies who wield the weapons, you can earn skill shards to level up your plague weapons even further, making you into a force to be reckoned with. In this guide, we'll list five of the best plague weapons you can carry with you to aid in battle, with a focus on early to mid-game options. Handaxe The Handaxe is excellent for dishing out huge wound damage, and it can stagger enemies for a short while. It casts fairly fast and has solid forward momentum to ensure that you land your hits, and it can be leveled quite easily because there are tons of enemies who wield it. Once you've leveled it up, not only will its energy cost go down quite a bit, but you'll also gain the … [Read more...] about Thymesia: Best Plague Weapons

Without stamina to manage, your only goal is to master the art of diving in and out of range and keeping the pressure on your … [Read more...] about Thymesia Tips For Beginners

Chrome’s new update patches yet another major exploited vulnerability
Audio player loading… Chrome users may want to get on the latest update as it includes 11 security fixes for the browser. This update may not be as fun as one that has a new logo (opens in new tab) or improves your RAM (opens in new tab) , but for anyone with safety in mind it's a pretty important rollout. According to SecurityWeek (opens in new tab) , one of the security fixes in the 104.0.5112.101/102 update is for zero-day vulnerabilities—ones that are found by malicious parties before the vendor or owner of the software is aware of them. In the case of Chrome's latest update, only one out of the 11 fixes appears to be for a zero-day vulnerability, but this is the fifth such exploit patched by Chrome this year. This marks a surge in zero-day exploits that Google has had to cover for. Other bug fixes in the patch repair several different vulnerabilities regarding use-after-free. This usually refers to programs not clearing memory after use, leaving a … [Read more...] about Chrome’s new update patches yet another major exploited vulnerability

Cult Of The Lamb Followers Wanting To Eat Poop Is (Unfortunately) Scientifically Accurate
Cult of the Lamb tasks you with establishing a sect of devoted followers, and before you can start breaking down their will with hallucinogenic mushrooms and ritual sacrifices, you'll have to cater to some of their demands. One such request comes from a hungry follower, who wants you to prepare them a steaming hot bowl of poop, a menu option that you're able to regularly serve to your disciples. It's not just gross; it's also scientifically accurate. As University of Missouri assistant research professor Ashley Conway noted--and backed up by various studies --the animal species such as donkeys, horses, and rabbits "regularly engage in coprophagy" so that they can reclaim vital nutrients that their digestive systems may have missed the first time. Okay, but this is an excellent opportunity to remind folks that monogastric hindgut fermenting species like donkeys, horses and rabbits regularly engage in coprophagy (eating their poo nuggets) to recapture important nutrients their … [Read more...] about Cult Of The Lamb Followers Wanting To Eat Poop Is (Unfortunately) Scientifically Accurate
Farthest Frontier devs didn’t include churches to avoid ‘drama around real world religions’
Audio player loading… Religious buildings are a common feature of medieval-themed city builders. Games like Banished, Anno 1404, Patron, Foundation, and others include churches, chapels, monasteries, cathedrals (and in Anno's case, mosques), and other religious buildings which typically provide a happiness bonus or fulfill a 'faith need' for citizens and residences built nearby. But you won't find religious buildings in Farthest Frontier, the new medieval-themed early access survival city builder from Crate Software, maker of Grim Dawn. In fact, there's no religion in the game at all. While it includes public amenities like theaters, markets, pubs, and hospitals, there are no churches or chapels to build and citizens have no faith requirements that need to be met. (There is a shrine, but more on that in a bit.) Some players are curious about the absence of religious buildings, while others seem downright annoyed by the omission. " Where is the church? How To Respec In Thymesia
Thymesia is a challenging game, so it's good that you're given an abundance of opportunities to level up your character. You'll always want to ensure that you're prepared for the multitude of powerful enemies and towering boss fights that stand in your way, and getting your stat spread right is often the key to victory. Thymesia only has three stats to level up, so you can get away with upgrading them evenly during the early part of the game. But if you want to maximize your effectiveness later, you may decide to swap out some extra health for more damage or gain some additional energy for using plague weapons. To do so, though, you'll need to respec--but the item required to do it can only be obtained one way. How to respec In order to respec your stat points in Thymesia, you'll need to get your hands on an item called Forgotten Feather. These are only received by defeating bosses at the end of levels, so you will have a very limited amount of them throughout your journey … [Read more...] about How To Respec In Thymesia
