Interestingly, Shadow of the Tomb Raider launched with a different ending that was patched out on day one. Frustratingly, it also arrived with a bug that prevented some players from achieving 100 percent completion. That's now been fixed universally, as have a number of other issues in the wake of its fourth PC patch. Collectable stats are no longer misrepresented in the UI, for example, and Dolby Atmos should now always launch without a hitch. Likewise, a number of "smaller" stability and functionality fixes have been applied; and players using Steam Input will now be shown appropriate icons for all supported controller types—in the same way this is displayed for native input players. "While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone," says developer Eidos Montreal in this Steam Community post. "If you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we have made a Beta available on Steam, Build 234.2, that can be used to switch back … [Read more...] about You can now 100 percent Shadow of the Tomb Raider following latest PC patch

Arena of Valor Ignis Buff Results in 100 Percent Ban Rate
An impending Arena of Valor Ignis buff has caused a cataclysmic effect in the meta of the mobile MOBA title. The changes are about to become far more widespread as the offending patch gears up for a worldwide release. The October Arena of Valor patch notes attempted to turn the unloved character into a more viable pick across the board. But it may have been too effective since the hero has now resulted in a 100 percent ban rate in tournaments. The flame-bearing elder mage takes a lot of the ideas seen in other MOBA heroes, like Brand from League of Legends. But long ability animations and a skillset relying too heavily on a passive that put a squishy mage too far forward in a clash made for a character too tricky to reliably pull off. The incoming Arena of Valor Ignis update looked to change all that, but it created something of a monster in the process. However, the hype might be short-lived. Reports have begun to emerge that put the changes into perspective. The … [Read more...] about Arena of Valor Ignis Buff Results in 100 Percent Ban Rate
Bethesda is ‘100 percent committed’ to Fallout 76 mod support
One of the big questions about Fallout 76 is whether or not it will support mods. Previous Fallout games have enjoyed extensive mod support, but as an online game with an inextricable multiplayer focus, the Fallout 76 situation wasn't so clear. Speaking with Geoff Keighley today, however, Todd Howard assured fans that Bethesda is completely committed to making it happen. "We love mods, and so we are 100 percent committed to doing that in 76 as well," Howard said. "We will not be able to do that at launch though. Our goal for launch—this is really new for us—is have a well-running, robust service, and then some period later, we're currently still designing what that service looks like, you'll be able to have your own private world and be able to mod it and do all of that."With our games, that's where the long-term life of them really is. That is trickier when you get into an online world, but we're definitely committed to that. It just won't be at launch." Mod … [Read more...] about Bethesda is ‘100 percent committed’ to Fallout 76 mod support
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a ‘100 percent free’ game in the Life is Strange universe
Dontnod announced a new game in the Life is Strange universe during Microsoft E3 2018 press conference, and the game seems to center on a young boy who is dealing with school issues and a father who may like alcohol a bit too much. The trailer used soft music and a series of scenes from the young boy’s life to show the power of imagination and how children deal with difficult situations. It looks like a game that will try to tap into the feelings many of us had as children when we had to invent a world that is a bit better than the one in which we find ourselves. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a “100 percent free game” coming to the Xbox Store on June 26, 2018, although it wasn’t explicitly called an exclusive. It’s likely that the game will come to other platforms at launch, or close to it. … [Read more...] about The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a ‘100 percent free’ game in the Life is Strange universe
Growing economy and high demand push Madison home values to new record
With a healthy economy and high demand for housing, Madison set a record for the value of the average single-family home and saw strong growth in commercial values, especially big apartment buildings with 50 or more units.New property assessments, released Friday, show a healthy 7.4 percent rise in real estate values, including the fifth straight increase in the value of the average single-family home, which jumped 5.8 percent for the second straight year to $284,868."We've had healthy growth again this year," city assessor Mark Hanson said. "We're definitely several years past the assessments of the recession." Mayor Paul Soglin said, "The numbers reflect solid economic growth and the fact that Madison is a great place to live."But Soglin added, "I do have some concerns, however, and it has to do with our housing shortage. The increase in value of modestly-priced homes tells me we have to do even more in regard to adding to the housing stock, particularly affordable housing."The … [Read more...] about Growing economy and high demand push Madison home values to new record
