With the recent release of Capcom’s action role-playing game Monster Hunter World, gamers around the world have been completing quests, hunting monsters, and facing Elder Dragons. Considering the fact that Capcom has shipped over 5 million copies, that’s a lot of monsters, and the best way to even the playing field is through weapon and armor development, which requires the allocation of various resources. To that effect, one MHW fan created an infinite mining map for the Wildspire Wastes. The map, depicted below, takes the hunter on a circular journey filled with various ores necessary to the mastery of the game. Hunters will need to “start from the node on the cliff in front of the central camp” and follow the color-coded path. Players should note that the green path will have the hunter above ground and the red path means to go underground. By the time the hunter has finished the described path, the nodes will respawn, and the player can begin … [Read more...] about Monster Hunter World Infinite Mining Map Guide

Monster Hunter: World is all about slicing up monsters and taking their good bits. Your mileage may vary on that premise (I’m more of a “befriend the monsters” kind of lady), but we can all agree on one thing: Players often manage to pick off these creatures in some neat ways. The most impressive kills, though, may be the ones that players don’t actually plan or execute themselves. Take the “landslide” death, which more than a few hunters have encountered since World’s beta phases back in December. Now that the game is out, however, we’re treated to several more videos of players accidentally luring some of the early game’s most difficult monsters to their deaths. Reddit user tyranadin shared what they called their own “incredible” takedown of a Rathalos, one of the more notorious monsters of the campaign’s first dozen hours or so. The video above shows tyranadin’s hunter fleeing from the giant, winged … [Read more...] about Monster Hunter: World’s best kills are the accidental ones
Monster Hunter World has only been out for a few days, but the gaming community seems to already be hooked on the title. With positive reviews and hilarious memes giving the game a ton of press, many gamers who never tried the series before are feeling motivated to take their first steps into the world. That means that they have a lot to learn. After Monster Hunter World players have learned how to make money fast and mastered capturing a creature, they will eventually progress to a point in the game where they need to start collecting plates. At this point, like many others, the game doesn’t exactly hold your hand through the process. Not to worry though, the process is fairly simple: First, players need to unlock the ability to fight their monsters in an arena. By participating in these battles, players will receive a heap of rewards. Amongst those treasures will sometimes be silver tickets, in addition to the regular items. When these special items are collected, players can … [Read more...] about Monster Hunter World: How to Get Plates

After its announcement at E3 2017, Monster Hunter World is now only a week away for console players. Capcom hasn’t been shy about showing off the game, releasing longer gameplay videos of locations like the Rotten Vale, though thanks to multiple betas, players have been able to get a pretty good feel for how the retail version will play as well. Just like most betas, Capcom is planning to reward players who also pick up a copy of the main game once it releases next week. However, the task isn’t as easy as just logging in. Here’s how to earn the exclusive beta skins. After booting up the Monster Hunter World beta, players have access to four different quests, each focusing on a different beast to hunt and kill. Complete any one of the beta quests and the exclusive face paint will unlock for the retail version of the game. The four available quests in the third and final beta are: Great Jagras – Located in the Ancient Forest, hunters have 20 minutes to … [Read more...] about Monster Hunter: World Beta – How to Get the Exclusive Skin
