Dawn Of Ragnarok DLC Needed To Be Included In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Says Ubisoft
Assassin's Creed is nothing if not a very large franchise, with annual mainline releases from 2009-2015. In recent years, Ubisoft has stretched out the lifespan of individual Assassin's Creed games with multiple lengthy post-launch expansions--2018's Odyssey and 2020's Valhalla have dozens of hours of post-launch content. Both Odyssey and Valhalla recently got new chapters to their respective narratives with Crossover Stories (in which, sadly, Eivor and Kassandra don't flirt ), and Valhalla is set to get a massive 35-hour Dawn of Ragnarök DLC in 2022. At 35 hours, Dawn of Ragnarök is one of the biggest Assassin's Creed DLCs to date (if not the biggest). At that length, it's practically another game, and given that it sees you playing as Havi, an "ancestor" of Eivor, you could argue it basically is. So that begs the question: Why is Dawn of Ragnarök an expansion? In the past, Ubisoft would have made something like this an entirely new game ( Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag 's … [Read more...] about Dawn Of Ragnarok DLC Needed To Be Included In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Says Ubisoft

Apex Legends – Heirlooms Guide
Heirlooms in Apex Legends are special melee cosmetic items that can be equipped to unlock unique melee attacks and inspection animations. These cosmetics are extremely rare--and expensive, too--though they can be easier to acquire for a limited time when they're first added to the game. Here is a complete guide to which legends have heirlooms, how to acquire them, and what they actually do. What is an Heirloom? An Heirloom in Apex Legends is a special cosmetic item that gives an individual Legend a special melee animation. Additionally, Heirlooms come with a unique banner pose and intro quip. How to get an Heirloom set Heirloom sets can be acquired in one of two ways, though the faster and potentially cheaper option is only available for a limited time. Origins of Marvel Comics by Stan Lee is Marvel Comics’ autobiography
Every superhero has a great origin story. Marvel Comics has its own as well. In 1974, mighty Marvel had been ticking along for about 13 years and had already enjoyed great success, supplanting DC as the top publisher and getting its characters on Saturday morning cartoons and a variety of licensed products. But Marvel still wasn't mainstream. It was kid stuff, or kid stuff-plus, roping in a decent-sized college audience. It still hadn't cracked the comic book ceiling and pushed into mainstream success. That changed in 1974 with the publication of Origins of Marvel Comics , a book published not by Marvel, but rather by main-street giant Simon & Schuster. Origins changed the game, and laid a foundation still felt today. Just how big was it? Consider: The book was published by Simon & Schuster in 1974, and by January 1975 Marvel publisher and spiritual figurehead Stan Lee was already touting that the book was in a second printing and that Simon … [Read more...] about Origins of Marvel Comics by Stan Lee is Marvel Comics’ autobiography

Nintendo says moving to its next console is a “major concern”
Nintendo has said the transition to its next console is a "major concern." In a investor Q&A session earlier this week (translated by VGC ), Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa was asked about Nintendo's eventual transition to its next console. "The question of whether we will be able to just as smoothly transition from the Nintendo Switch to the next generation of hardware is a major concern for us," Furukawa said. The Nintendo president added that, based on the company's experiences with the Wii and Nintendo DS, it's clear one of the obstacles in the imminent future is addressing how to transition to the next console. Furukawa specifically references how to move the Switch's already massive player base to Nintendo's next eventual console. "While we will continue launching new software on the Nintendo Switch, we will also provide services that also use Nintendo Accounts and other IP outside of gaming software. We intend for this to help build a lasting impact … [Read more...] about Nintendo says moving to its next console is a “major concern”

As detailed in the official patch notes , the new martial artist advanced class, the Glaivier, is the highlight. It's the first new class added to the Western version of Lost Ark since release. The glaive excels at clearing out huge groups of enemies, while the spear is ideal for poking down bosses. Of course, the Glaivier isn't the only new addition coming to Lost Ark as part of the Battle for the Throne of Chaos update. The new patch will also see the addition of the South Vern continent, where a demon army is amassing at the titular Throne of Chaos, which serves as a … [Read more...] about Lost Ark Battle For The Throne Of Chaos Update Adds Battle Pass, New Class: Full Patch Notes
Netflix Geeked Week Announced, Cyberpunk Anime To Be Featured

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and The Sandman were among the blink-and-you'll-miss-them announcements, news, and first looks at the platform's biggest franchises. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was first announced way back in 2020 by game developer CD Projekt Red. The anime ties into the company's divisive game, and is produced by Studio Trigger, the animation company known for hits like Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal, and others. Edgerunners is a standalone, 10-episode story that features original characters disconnected from Cyberpunk 2077. While it is an original story, Edgerunners takes place in the same universe, with Night City being a prominent location in the show. In the event trailer above, all that's mentioned about The Sandman, the long-awaited Neil Gaiman adaptation is … [Read more...] about Netflix Geeked Week Announced, Cyberpunk Anime To Be Featured
