In addition to Squid Game Season 2, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is working on a new satire series about the Netflix show and how popular it became. The show is "provisionally" titled The Best Show on the Planet, according to Deadline. Hwang said the show is only "in its infancy," so there is very little to go on at this stage. However, what we do know is the show will be based on Hwang's own insights into the show's massive overnight success. As for Squid Game Season 2, in the same interview Hwang said he is feeling an "immense amount of pressure" given the huge success of the first season. Released in 2018, Yoku's Island Express beautifully marries pinball mechanics with the side-scrolling adventuring of metroidvanias.
