Following the announcement of The Last Remnant Remastered, Square Enix released a new trailer today. The video showcases the renewed graphics on PS4, that are getting a fresh coat of paint for the occasion, with the old visuals on Xbox 360. We get to see mostly cutscenes, but we can also take a brief look at battle gameplay. The visuals certainly look a lot cleaner. The Last Remnant was originally released in 2008 exclusively for Xbox 360. It was part of Microsoft’s efforts to secure a bunch of exclusive JRPGs for the console in order to try and establish a foothold in the Japanese market. A PC version followed in 2009, and now Square Enix is finally letting the game jump over to the PlayStation camp. Today Bandai Namco Entertainment released a batch of screenshots of the upcoming anime-inspired magic action-shooting third-person game Black Clover: Quartet Knights. We get to see various characters that will be playable in the game’s 4 vs. 4 battles, able of making use of a diverse array of spells including anti-magic, wind magic, dark magic, mirror magic, and more. Each character has different stats and abilities, making team coordination important. Maps have complex layouts with many elevation differences that can be used to your advantage. It’s possible to snipe from an elevated position or to sneak behind obstacles to attack the enemy from behind. The trailer features one of the modes of the multiplayer suite of the game, named Zone Control. The objective is simple: capturing the designated zone with your team, and hold it as long as possible to win the match. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, Black Clover: Quartet Knights is a “4 vs. 4 magic action-shooting third-person game” with online gameplay inspired by the anime with the same name.
