The first DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance releases today. Warhorse Studio’s historical RPG returns with From the Ashes, the first of four DLC packages set to release over the next nine months. According to a press release from Warhorse, From the Ashes adds a new type of adventure to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Rather than living in settlements that were built decades or centuries before your time, the new DLC will allow players to rebuild a brand new village from the ruins of a burned-down bandit camp. Check out our list of the best RPGs on PC. Players will recognise the camp from the battle with Runt during the base game’s campaign. Revisiting the ruins of the camp in the DLC, Henry is made bailiff of the new settlement, and is tasked with building it back up “from the ashes” (get it?). Update, May 8: Midd-Earth: Shadow of War's final DLC, Desolation of Mordor, releases today. The final DLC for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is out today. Today also marks the permanent removal of microtransactions from the game. Desire, competition, or addiction - why do we buy loot boxes? The final DLC, Desolation of Mordor, sees players take control of human hero Baranor, and allows you to lead the human resistance against the Orc forces. There's also a free update to the base game, including improvements to the Nemesis system, and new Brutal difficulty which significantly improves damage dealt by enemies, and upgrades to the game's photo mode. In a press release, Monolith and Warner Bros also announced that the ability to purchase Gold, the game's premium currenct, has been permanently removed. You'll be able to spend your leftover gold, and earn it through in-game challenges, until the market closes in July. Today Kadokawa Games reached out with a press release announcing that the return of the Metal Max series, Metal Max Xeno, will release worldwide. The game will officially come to North America, Europe, and Asia. Further details like local release dates have not been announced, and will be disclosed by each publisher down the line. The name of the local publishers are also unannounced as of yet. On top of the localization news, we also get the introduction of a new character named Misaki. He is a 26 years old medic (yes, he’s a he). According to the press release, he kind of looks like a woman or a supermodel. Yet, he is a scientist and researcher with a powerful intellect able to heal his companions. He has been traveling alone pursuing the knowledge lost by humanity. Following today’s announcement for the Japanese market of New Gundam Breaker, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe followed up by revealing that the game will actually come west. According to the press release, the game will launch in western regions in 2018 as it will in Japan, even if we did not get a release window. Another element in common with the Japanese announcement is the platform, which at the moment is only PS4. Normally Bandai Namco announces additional platforms for the west as soon as the localization is revealed, but this time around the press release explicitly mentions PS4 exclusivity. The game comes with an interesting innovation compared to its predecessors. Players will still be able to acquire parts from enemy mobile suits by destroying them, but this time around you won’t need to go back to your hangar to equip them. Bandai Namco announced Dark Souls Remastered in conjunction with today's Nintendo Direct Mini, and this will mark the first time the series has made an appearance on a Nintendo console. The new Dark Souls remaster will include dynamic 4K resolution support on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC, and will presumably feature upgraded textures and lighting. Dark Souls Remastered Multiplayer Mentioned in Bandai Namco's press release, Dark Souls Remastered will include nine new online covenants to find that will motivate online interaction between players. Up to six players can join each other online to either play cooperatively or competitively throughout the quest. Dark Souls Remastered Crossplay With Dark Souls Remastered releasing on four platforms, it would be cool if crossplay were implemented in some way.
