It’s no secret that the Nintendo Switch is a pretty popular console, and now the console has once again proven itself, crossing the 4 million mark in units sold in Japan since it released in March of 2017. Even with it plagued with supply difficulties, Nintendo Switch sales are continuing to make it a smash hit. With such a wide variety of various games coming out from both first-party Nintendo developers and third-party developers from other companies and publishers, the Nintendo Switch has a huge game library, and that’s one of the main reasons that’s contributed to it smashing the Wii U aside like a toy. I took a look at the release schedule for this year and there is basically nothing from Western 3rd parties. Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out in October (barring another delay) and Far Cry 5 comes out later this month. Other than that there's basically nothing. What happened to Western 3rd party devs? February 27 is Pokemon Day, and like last year, Niantic is celebrating the occasion by giving players a chance to capture a rare Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Players still have a few more hours to encounter a special Pikachu, which will come with an exclusive move it cannot typically learn in the mobile game.From now until 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET on February 28, players will have a chance to capture a Pikachu wearing a party hat, similar to the one available during last year's Pokemon Day celebration. This time around, however, the party hat Pikachu will know the move Present.In addition to that, players will earn triple the usual amount of Stardust they receive for each special Pikachu they capture, and new Trainer items based on the ones worn by the heroes of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are now available to purchase from the in-game shop. It’s Pokemon Day, and those wandering around the outdoors will find a special Pikachu. Pokemon GO players should keep an eye out for a special Pikachu through tomorrow afternoon. This version of Pikachu will be wearing a festive, striped purple hat to celebrate Pokemon Day 2018. It’s the same hat as Pokemon Day 2017, but this time out the critter knows the move Present. Players will earn triple the usual Stardust when catching this particular Pikachu. Pokemon GO Trainers can look for Pikachu wearing a party hat through February 28 at 1pm PST, 4pm EST, 9pm BST. If you’re not a Pokemon GO player, there are other ways to enjoy Pokemon Day. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle story mode announced Arc System Works’ upcoming BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a fighting game that features an all-star cast of characters from Arc System Works’s own BlazBlue, Under Night in Birth, and Persona 4 Arena series’ as well as from the animated series RWBY. It will release on June 5, 2018 in America on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $49.99 both physically and digitally, as well as some controversial DLC packs. The new story mode, called Episode Mode, will deliver individual stories for each of the four series that are features in the game.
