Chris Livingston, Staff Writer: I got into The Division 2 for a while this year, and while it seems like a weird fit for Star Wars, I'm still interested to see what they do with it. I love the detail in The Division 2—walking down any given street is always a feast for the eyes, even if that feast is mountains of trash from a collapsed society. I didn't really care for most of the main missions—they're way too long for my tastes, and I was playing solo. But I loved the side activities, the exploration, the base-building stuff, and the street skirmishes. I feel like I'd be pretty happy shooting my way through some alien city filled with stormtroopers and helping rebels out with sidequests. If that's what you do in this game. … [Read more...] about What do we want from Ubisoft’s open world Star Wars game?

Revisiting Under the Skin, Capcom’s forgotten arcade stealth game
You may already be composing a comment declaring that this makes it a very thin comparison point for the Hitman series, but it's important that you understand that I am a very bad Hitman player. Not for me the painstaking observation and elaborate assassination scenarios. No, my default way of playing Hitman is to swipe a costume and then embark on a clumsy and steadily escalating spree as I create as much mayhem and confusion as possible. The 7 announcements from CES 2021 that every PC gamer should know about
My excitement for the Flow X13, as I'm sure shared by most, is not its AMD Ryzen 5980XS (low-power variant of the HX) chip or Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics, but that the ROG Flow X13 supports its very own external GPU. That's greater than even Thunderbolt 4, but arguably it does take up considerably more room than a Type-C port. … [Read more...] about The 7 announcements from CES 2021 that every PC gamer should know about
The best parts of Borderlands 3 are hidden in its DLC
The way shotguns in Borderlands 3 hurl enemies into the air as if they've been yanked up by a playful god is A+, but Borderlands 2 was a hard act to follow. Sure, it was another game about shooting people and taking their stuff, but it embellished that with character-writing and gags so good you could take away the shooting and still have something enjoyable. Actually, what you'd have is Tales from the Borderlands, which was one of Telltale's best games. … [Read more...] about The best parts of Borderlands 3 are hidden in its DLC
Somehow only one of these funny looking CES gadgets is a sex toy
The KEEP is something I actually saw last year, but I still think about it every day. The Keep Smart Storage may look like a clock, but it's actually a safe to store your weed, and I guess other medication, but mostly weed. KEEP would have been perfect for me back in college when I thought a chin-goatee and boot-cut jeans with sneakers was a good look. … [Read more...] about Somehow only one of these funny looking CES gadgets is a sex toy
