How Does Cross Worlds Fit Into The Ni No Kuni Universe?
Historically, Ni no Kuni has taken an almost Final Fantasy-style approach to sequels. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and its only-in-Japan counterparts, Dominion of the Dark Djinn for DS and Hotroit Stories for mobile devices, exist as one story. The console sequel, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, takes place many generations later, with any ties to the original basically functioning as fun Easter eggs. Characters and plot don't move between games, but themes, the art style, and certain enemies and races do. The 2019 Ni no Kuni movie took a similar approach and did not feature direct overlap with the games. The upcoming No no Kuni mobile MMO, Cross Worlds, is continuing the tradition and not relying on the story that came before it. But there are plenty of reasons to recognize Cross Worlds as a legitiamte Ni no Kuni game that understands its roots--and it might be more of proper sequel than assumed. The original Ni no Kuni tells the story of a young boy who loses his mother … [Read more...] about How Does Cross Worlds Fit Into The Ni No Kuni Universe?

Lost Ark's Destined for Destruction update will be live later today, and it's a doozy, with the patch notes detailing plenty of new content alongside numerous quality-of-life improvements and balance changes to Amazon and Smilegate RPG's free-to-play MMORPG that fans should appreciate. NYC Mayor Says Overwatch’s Hanzo Is Garbage
It's rare to see a politician express opinions on video games, or at least somewhat informed opinions. NYC Mayor Eric Adams decided to break precedent and throw in his two cents about one Overwatch character in particular--Hanzo. I couldn't mash the send button fast enough — I may not be a gaming expert, but at least I’m not garbage like Hanzo! Proud to get in the game with @NYExcelsior . Let’s #getstuffdone @OW_Yaki @Kellan_OW @FloraOw02 @OMyunbong @GangNamJin_ow https://t.co/AoA104Cdlh — Mayor Eric Adams (@NYCMayor) May 18, 2022 In response to New York's Overwatch League team, NY Excelsior, welcoming him as an honorary member, Adams tweeted, "I couldn't mash the send button fast enough--I may not be a gaming expert, but at least I’m not garbage like Hanzo!" Thanks, Mayor Adams, for your input. It's unclear what being an "honorary member" of NY Excelsior entails for Mayor Adams. But Adam's support for NYC's own esports team is in line with his agenda to … [Read more...] about NYC Mayor Says Overwatch’s Hanzo Is Garbage
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Adds New DLC Today, Glutton’s Gamble
The next DLC for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is out now. Glutton's Gamble, as it's called, lets players take on a more difficult version of one of the game's dungeons to get better loot. "You can test your mettle with this challenging, re-playable gauntlet while Vesper shares the self-contained story of Imelda's origins," reads a line from the game's description. Players can find the dungeon in the Dreamveil Overlook, which is located just outside Brighthoof in the game's Overworld. In the dungeon itself, players will find enemies with a baseline level of 13, though they will then scale to their level beyond that. "Tread carefully, because dying within a Mirror of Mystery will kick you out of the looking glass; you'll have to start over if you want to show Imelda who's boss," Gearbox said. The final boss in Glutton's Gamble is Imelda, and she will become deadlier and deadlier as the weeks go on. For three consecutive weeks beginning today, Imelda will brew herself a potion that … [Read more...] about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Adds New DLC Today, Glutton’s Gamble
New Silent Hill Games: Everything We Know (And Want To See)
It has been a very, very long time since we've seen anything from the Silent Hlil series, with a full decade having passed since the release of Silent Hill: Book of Memories on Vita--and an almost unbelievable eight years since PT gave fans hope for the Hideo Kojima-led reboot Silent Hills. Now, however, it appears we could finally be returning to Konami's legendary horror series, and it could be with multiple games. Here's what we know--including rumors--about the Silent Hill franchise's future, as well as what we hope to see as we head into Summer Game Fest and the other Not-E3 events in June. Multiple games? Despite being on ice for so long, it appears the Silent Hill franchise will be returning with not just one, but several different games . Assuming reports on these games are accurate, Konami seems to be catering to multiple different types of players across these titles rather than trying to produce one game capable of pleasing them all. According to Grubbsnax host … [Read more...] about New Silent Hill Games: Everything We Know (And Want To See)
New Daredevil Series Coming To Disney Plus – Report
Disney+ is getting a new Daredevil series, according to Variety . Rumors of some sort of a reboot project for the franchise have been swirling around for several months. Although it was expected that Charlie Cox would reprise his role as Daredevil since Marvel boss Kevin Feige said so December 2021 , it wasn't until March that information leaked that Disney+ was most likely gearing up on a Daredevil TV series . Citing unnamed sources, Variety is reporting that Matt Corman and Chris Ord (Covert Affairs) will write and executive produce. Marvel has not yet formally made an announcement, and representatives for Corman and Ord have also not yet released a comment. In early March, Cox speculated in an interview that although Daredevil deserves an R-rated film, Marvel could rise to the challenge in pulling off a successful PG-13 film--or a TV series--featuring the character . Cox added that Daredevil comic storylines that are the most "exciting, readable, and relatable" to him … [Read more...] about New Daredevil Series Coming To Disney Plus – Report
