Warning: Spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi ahead! Turn back now if you haven't seen the entire series! Obi-Wan Kenobi has proved once and for all that Darth Vader deserves his own spin-off show. Now, hear me out, you might be thinking that the Skywalker Saga already contains more than enough Vader, but – as the Obi-Wan show has proved – there's always more story to tell. In fact, Obi-Wan Kenobi had some of the best Darth Vader scenes ever. Whether the Sith Lord was tearing transports from the sky , dragging Obi-Wan through flames , or simply opening his eyes in a bacta tank , the internet could not get enough. We've never seen Vader quite like this before: even in Rogue One , which saw him slice through countless Rebels on a quest to recapture the Death Star plans, he wasn't quite as terrifying as the Vader we saw slaughtering his way through a village or besting a vengeful Reva using only the Force. Unleashing Vader in his own spin-off would let us see even … [Read more...] about The Obi-Wan Kenobi series proves Darth Vader needs his own Disney Plus show

"I think they really imbued the character with all the qualities that make that character great. And young Vivien has done such a great job of bringing her to life." He added: "For me, that's been part of the fun of it, is just getting those little glimpses of Padmé, which I do get." Obi-Wan Kenobi recently wrapped up its 6 episode run on Disney Plus. Though there's been no confirmation of an Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 , Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy is definitely open to the idea . Umbrella Academy Season 3 Ending Explained: What Happens To The Hargreeves Family?
Umbrella Academy Season 3 has arrived on Netflix, and the Hargreeves family is up to their usual antics of squabbling with each other and facing down a massive, cosmic-level threat that may or may not consume all reality. Laura Linney reveals she hasn’t watched the Ozark finale as she addresses alternate endings
Laura Linney revealed she’s not quite ready to say goodbye to Ozark yet. Not only did the Wendy Byrde actor say that she’d sign up for more episodes, but she also explained she’s yet to watch the season 4 finale. Ozark came to a climactic end on Netflix back in April with a dramatic – and tragic for some – final episode. "I haven’t seen it," Linney told Vulture (opens in new tab) when she was asked about her thoughts on it. "I don’t know what they chose. I’m very bad at watching myself and I’m particularly bad at watching things that I really loved doing because it’s going to change the minute I see it. I really can’t comment on it." The star was then quizzed on what the different endings to the show were, which she shut down over her comment on the moments they "chose" in the finale. Linney replied: "No. I’m not going to do that," explaining she doesn’t think it’s her job to comment on viewer reactions to the show. While we might not ever find this out, it is … [Read more...] about Laura Linney reveals she hasn’t watched the Ozark finale as she addresses alternate endings

A prominent Star Wars actor has explained why he returned to cameo in the Obi-Wan Kenobi finale after decades away from appearing in live-action. Spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 follow. In the closing moments of the Obi-Wan Kenobi finale, Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi finally came face-to-face with the Force Ghost of his former master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) – who was killed by Darth Maul in 1999’s The Phantom Menace. On the reasons behind his return, Neeson told The Hollywood Reporter (opens in new tab) , "I certainly didn’t want anyone else playing Qui-Gon Jinn, and I wanted to show my respect for George [Lucas] and that mythical world that he created." Neeson added, "Plus, Ewan [McGregor] is a pal, and I loved working with him during The Phantom Menace 25 years ago." While we haven’t seen Qui Gon-Jinn in live-action for some time, though his presence was keenly felt elsewhere in the franchise. How Batman: The Animated Series changed the DCU forever
Batman: The Animated Series ran for just 85 episodes across four seasons in the early '90s, but its impact is still being felt 30 years later. For many, as noted by Catwoman writer Tini Howard , Batman: The Animated Series defines Gotham and its cast of characters – and the DC comic book universe (DCU) has been widely affected by decisions made for the show in the decades since it aired. The show's effects go beyond introducing popular characters to comics canon, like Harley Quinn and Renee Montoya. Batman: The Animated Series also overhauled major character backstories and introduced the world to definitive takes on villains, like Mr. Freeze and the Joker, respectively. September 5, 2022 marks the official 30th anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series. To celebrate, let's examine how the show has changed the DC comics Universe, for better or worse. Ms. Marvel – Kamala Khan’s powers could be connected to the Nega-Bands or Quantum Bands from comics
Disney Plus' Ms. Marvel streaming series is now two episodes in, and the ways that Kamala Khan's superhero origin and powers have been changed in adapting them to the MCU from comic books are becoming clear, even as the mystery around the roots of Kamala's abilities is simultaneously taking shape. Ms. Marvel episode 2, now streaming, offers some further insight into Kamala Khan's new origins and how they relate to her hidden family history, channeling some of the themes of self-actualization and discovery that are important to her comic book story. For one thing, the episode makes it clear that while the apparently important bangle activates Kamala's powers, they're actually inherent to her and come from within, likely as a result of a powerful hidden ancestry. In comic books, Kamala Khan's powers are derived from her latent Inhuman DNA, which, when activated, grants her the power to change her size and shape. In practical terms, this often means growing in size to increase … [Read more...] about Ms. Marvel – Kamala Khan’s powers could be connected to the Nega-Bands or Quantum Bands from comics
