Easter eggs in games are an adored practice in the industry. Especially when they’re done right as well. Respawn hasn’t strayed from this tradition since we might have just discovered an Easter egg in their latest title. As we can see in this video here, Apex Legends is actually hiding the Loch Ness Monster in the game. So the easter egg was accessed by these players when they ran around the map, shooting Loch Ness Monster dolls. These weren’t just random objects they were shooting, since there was actually hit registration and damage numerals on the dolls. This means the developers definitely did intend for the dolls to be shot apart. What happened after was slightly more difficult to describe. We see a giant figure slowly emerge from the water. At first it just looks like a land formation but eventually after staring at it, you realize that it’s sentient. After towering over the surface of the water, Nessy simply swims further ahead until vanishing out of … [Read more...] about Apex Legends Has The Loch Ness Monster Easter Egg; A Giant Dinosaur!

report this adWhen playing Apex Legends, players will want to pay attention to the kill feed, as it’s the source of valuable information, like recent kills or if someone was just downed instead of killed. However, some players may have noticed that the kill feed occasionally has a weird message in it that says, “A Nessy appears…” and may not know what it means. Basically, Respawn has been hiding Loch Ness monster plushies in the Titanfall video games, and Apex Legends is no different. The “A Nessy appears…” message is displayed whenever players shoot the Nessy plush. It’s possible that there is more than one Loch Ness monster on the Apex Legends King’s Canyon map, but we can only confirm the existence of one so far, and it’s easy to find once players know where to look.To find the Loch Ness monster easter egg in Apex Legends, land at Cascades and head north of the respawn station. With millions of players dipping into the new mega-hit battle royale Apex Legends and scavenging its Kings Canyon map for loot, it's cool to see that players are still uncovering new secrets which developer Respawn Entertainment snuck in. Two Easter eggs that have been uncovered since last week's surprise launch include a touching tribute to a developer's dog and the appearance of the Nessie plushie that's seen all kinds of sights throughout the Titanfall series.Let's start with the latter, just in case you're not emotionally prepared for a potentially tear-jerking story. As spotted by players and collated on Kotaku, the mini-Loch Ness Monster plushie Nessie has been a mainstay of Respawn's map design. The little lizard can be found tucked away in just about every single-player level and multiplayer map. Many Nessie locations have been documented, and Nessie lives on in Apex, which takes place in the same universe as Titanfall. She's currently nestled away in the training area, though … [Read more...] about Apex Legends has a hidden tribute to a developer’s dog (and a little Loch Ness Monster)

Capcom may have just found the best way to advertise Monster Hunter: World. According to a company’s announcement, they’ll give $70000 to anyone that sends them solid proof that some notorious monsters such as Big Foot and the monster of Loch Ness do exist. Though unconventional, Capcom encourages you to hunt for some mythological creatures and why not earn some cash out of it. Laura Kelly, Senior PR Manager for Capcom has made the announcement, saying that they reopen the cases of ten “real” monsters such as Big Foot, the Loch Ness monster, the Sirens, the Chupacabra, the worm of the death of Mongolia and so on. It reads: When we planned to launch Monster Hunter World, we could not help thinking about the monsters of the reality we all heard about when we were kids. We were confronted with Jon Downes, the greatest hunter of real monsters on the planet, who inspired us to reopen the investigation of ten creatures, also setting a size to really … [Read more...] about Capcom Will Reward You With $70000 To Hunt Down Monsters Like Big Foot Or Chupacabra
