Fanatical has another Steam Deck-verified games bundle up for grabs, and this one is even better than the one we saw last month. The Build Your Own Play On The Go Bundle features 16 games total to pick from, including Murder by Numbers, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Blacksad: Under the Skin, Yoku's Island Express, and other well-received titles. Build Your Own Play On The Go Bundle As usual, there are multiple tiers in the Build Your Own Play On The Go Bundle. You can get three games for $5, five games for $7, or eight games for $10. At the highest tier, you're only spending $1.25 per game. Every game in the bundle has been verified by Valve to run on Steam Deck, so this is a great way to get a bunch of cool games for cheap. After building your bundle, you'll receive Steam keys; all of the games are also playable on a regular gaming PC, of course. For instance, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Blacksad: Under the Skin are regularly priced at $40 each. Shadow … [Read more...] about Get 8 Steam Deck Games For $10 For A Limited Time

The biggest showcases of E3 2022 have now drawn to a close. And while we've been treated to dozens of pretty cinematic trailers, promising gameplay reveals, remakes and reworkings over the last several days – not least during the Xbox and Bethesda Games event, and Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest – there are plenty of games that, for one reason or another, failed to peak their heads above the development trenches. We've already highlighted the 10 Xbox Series X exclusives that weren't shown during the Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase , but here we take a broader look at the big-hitters and most intriguing projects that we'd have loved to have seen more of, but sadly didn't. Without further ado, here are 15 of the biggest games posted missing at E3 2022. Did CKY Just Reveal A New Tony Hawk Game Is Coming?
Last year's Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 proved that there was still a passionate fanbase hungry for more skateboarding action, and thanks to drummer Jess Margera from rock band CKY, it sounds like a new entry in the series is on the horizon. As spotted by VGC , Margera was a guest on the Behind Closed Doors podcast last month and spoke about how bands could earn cash beyond the usual rigorous touring schedule. "Now touring is your main income, and you really have to try and get licensing deals, try and get in where you can on video games or whatever, because that’s another way to make some money," Margera said. When asked about the band having licensed one of its songs to a Tony Hawk Pro Skater game in the past, the drummer said, "Yeah, and I believe we’re doing the new one coming out too." Margera referred to last year's remaster as a separate title in follow-up questions, adding that it was "so cool" to see the classic games "basically just vamped up with the same premise". … [Read more...] about Did CKY Just Reveal A New Tony Hawk Game Is Coming?
Acclaimed puzzle game studio Zachtronics will release its final game next month
Popular indie developer Zachtronics will release what will be its final new game next month. In an interview with Kotaku (opens in new tab) , the studio's founder Zach Barth said, "We're wrapping things up!" Before the studio closes its doors for good, it has two final projects in the works: a new game that's aptly named Last Call BBS, launching on July 5, and a collection of its various solitaire games, set to release before the end of the year. "After that, the team will disband," says Barth. "We all have different ideas, interests, tolerances for risk, and so on, so we're still figuring out what we want to do next." Rather than a decision that's been forced upon it, this is something that the developer is doing on its own terms, which Barth says "feels pretty good". Barth founded Zachtronics in 2000 and the studio built a reputation for itself with acclaimed puzzle games such as TIS-100 and SpaceChem. While most of Zachtronics' back catalogue consists of … [Read more...] about Acclaimed puzzle game studio Zachtronics will release its final game next month

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is closing down after seven years
Seven years after its release, fans are bidding farewell to Final Fantasy Record Keeper. Despite having the word final in its title, Square Enix's long-running RPG series shows no signs of stopping. With Final Fantasy 16 set to release next year and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth announced as the second instalment in the remake trilogy, there's certainly a lot for fans to get excited about. But one fantasy that is coming to an end is the free-to-play mobile title Final Fantasy Record Keeper . Square Enix has announced it's pulling the plug on Final Fantasy Record Keeper on September 29. With the gacha game officially shutting down, gems will no longer be available to purchase from August 30. Square Enix hasn't given a reason for its decision, but perhaps the game's player base has dwindled since its launch over seven years ago on March 25, 2015. "We make this announcement with a heavy heart, but hope you will be left with fond memories of adventure once this journey … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy Record Keeper is closing down after seven years
Shenmue Creator Yu Suzuki Explains The Giant Flying Swans Of Air Twister
Yu Suzuki, the creator of Shenmue, Space Harrier, and many other games, is releasing his latest, Air Twister, via Apple Arcade on June 24. Ahead of its release, we spent some time with the game and even had the chance to speak with Suzuki through a translator about the dream-like experience wherein you ride giant swans across alien landscapes. Suzuki confirmed some of the game's details--like protagonist Princess Arch’s size and what classic children’s novel served as the game’s main inspiration--and talked about how much he enjoyed one of GameSpot’s top 10 games of 2021 , It Takes Two. I've been playing Air Twister and it is bizarre. Is that how you thought people would react to it? Yu Suzuki: I didn't really know what people would expect. I just made the game. That's normal for me. Air Twister feels a bit like you're playing an interactive dream. Was that the intention? Thank you very much. I appreciate your comment. Yeah, not particularly. I wasn't really thinking that … [Read more...] about Shenmue Creator Yu Suzuki Explains The Giant Flying Swans Of Air Twister
