Kid friendly pubs

There is a plethora of comic books coming to Amazon's ComiXology Unlimited digital comics reading service in march - Marvel, DC, Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Boom! Studios, and more… but one big thing stands out. Vertigo. The complete runs of the original Hellblazer (300 issues!), Preacher (66 issues!), and Lucifer series (75 issues!) have been added to ComiXology Unlimited this month. In addition, over 200 issues of various Swamp Thing series have also been added. No specific reason has been given for this Vertigo-centric comics dump, but in some cases, it's best not to complain and just start reading (or re-reading, as the case may be). Some decidedly un-Vertigo fare being added as well this month is a heaping helping of Disney cartoon tales. The horror movie streaming company Shudder's latest original film is called "Slaxx," and it follows the story of a pair of jeans that wants to kill people. The jeans become possessed and come to life to exact revenge upon a "trendy" clothing company. The jeans are sent to the company's flagship store and start to pick off workers one-by-one as they work overnight to get the new collection ready for display. It's sort of like Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, except the pants want to rip your fingers off and kill you to death instead of reunite childhood friends. Slaxx stars Romane Denis (Slut in a Good Way), Brett Donahue (Private Eyes), Sehar Bhojani (The Handmaid's Tale), and Stephen Bogaert (The Umbrella Academy). It's directed by Elza Kephart (Go in the Wilderness, Graveyard Alive) from a script from Kephart and Patricia Gomez (Gravyard Alive). Earlier this week, I was involved in an all-too-familiar Valheim tragedy: after sailing too close to the shoreline, I was pursued by a rather large insect and nibbled to death, leaving my tombstone (and all my precious belongings) stranded in a distant land. What followed was a high-risk naked rescue mission that only just succeeded, but it turns out there was a far easier way I could have solved this: by enlisting the help of Valheim's very own Body Recovery Squad. The BRS is a group of Valheim players dedicated to helping others recover their items, no matter where the tombstone is stranded - and they do it all for free. Wasteland 3 is getting permadeath as part of a new update coming soon. Patch 1.3.3, titled Death & Taxes, adds permadeath mode as well as an optional difficult skill checks mode, respeccing, new character customisation items, and a raft of improvements and fixes. Wasteland 3's permadeath works as you imagine it should: when activated at a game's start, your characters will die good and proper when their health reaches zero. In a post on Wasteland 3's Steam page , developer inXile said permadeath is a single-player only feature that cannot be enabled in multiplayer. "As much fun as is to watch your friends subjected to painful and horrific video game deaths, co-op splits the team down the middle, and one player losing everyone and then watching for (potentially) hours until the other can make it back to Ranger HQ just isn't a good time," inXile said. Marvel's bizarre, beastly Man-Thing turns 50 this year (first debuting in 1971's Savage Tales #1 ), and to celebrate writer Steve Orlando is penning a series of three one-shots under the banner Curse of the Man-Thing, which will pull in the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the X-Men as Man-Thing's odd fear powers are weaponized by a mysterious new villain known as Harrower. Along with artists Francesco Mobili, Marco Failla, and Andrea Broccardo on the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men one-shots, respectively, Orlando is planning an epic tale that will sweep across the entire Marvel Universe and show exactly what Man-Thing means to the publisher's legacy.
