We're republishing our 2016 ranking of Mass Effect's best and worst as we look forward to Mass Effect: Legendary Edition . A week ago I dropped my Ultimate Ranking of Mass Effect Companions into the PC Gamer Slack channel and destroyed productivity for an hour. This tends to happen whenever we talk about Mass Effect: Any conversation around the best games in the series, best missions, and most definitely the best characters. It says something about Mass Effect, that we still feel so strongly about its stories nearly a decade after entering that universe for the first time. We're just as passionate about the characters we love as we are about the ones we hate. Bioware built on the template it established with Knights of the Old Republic throughout the Mass Effect series. First they're fun diversions, filling out the world with lore. Then they become romance partners, and your interactions with them influence how they grow and change and even affect the world around them. New on ComiXology Unlimited (March 2021): All the comics and manga arriving
There is a plethora of comic books coming to Amazon's ComiXology Unlimited digital comics reading service in march - Marvel, DC, Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Boom! Studios, and more… but one big thing stands out. Vertigo. The complete runs of the original Hellblazer (300 issues!), Preacher (66 issues!), and Lucifer series (75 issues!) have been added to ComiXology Unlimited this month. In addition, over 200 issues of various Swamp Thing series have also been added. No specific reason has been given for this Vertigo-centric comics dump, but in some cases, it's best not to complain and just start reading (or re-reading, as the case may be). Some decidedly un-Vertigo fare being added as well this month is a heaping helping of Disney cartoon tales. Several collections have been added of Mickey House, Donald Duck, Donald and Mickey, Uncle Scrooge, and DuckTales. Staying on that anthropomorphic tip, there's also Snoopy: Beagle of Mars and six volumes of Garfield arriving this … [Read more...] about New on ComiXology Unlimited (March 2021): All the comics and manga arriving

What is Edge Presents: Game Changers? Hulu Is Adding Felicity, My So-Called Life, And Blossom To Its Platform Next Week
Hulu is making the week starting March 8 "'90s Week" by bringing iconic teen dramas Felicity and My So-Called Life to the streaming service on March 9 and March 11 respectively according to Entertainment Weekly . On March 8, the sitcom Blossom will also be brought to the platform. These premieres are intended to be a runway of sorts to the premiere of Kid 90, a Hulu original documentary directed and produced by Soleil Mon Frye, which will be available on March 12. Frye originated the titular role of Punky Brewster in the '80s NBC sitcom, and as her career got started at the age of 8, she "carried a video camera everywhere she went." The documentary "presents a true time capsule of a group of friends growing up in Hollywood and New York City in the '90s, balancing childhood and fame pre-internet and social media." Frye has reprised her role as Punky Brewster in the recent Peacock revival , which again has the same name. Kid 90 also stars David Arquette, Jenny Lewis, Will Smith, … [Read more...] about Hulu Is Adding Felicity, My So-Called Life, And Blossom To Its Platform Next Week
New Horror Movie Slaxx Follows A Pair Of Jeans That Come Alive And Try To Kill People
The horror movie streaming company Shudder's latest original film is called "Slaxx," and it follows the story of a pair of jeans that wants to kill people. The jeans become possessed and come to life to exact revenge upon a "trendy" clothing company. The jeans are sent to the company's flagship store and start to pick off workers one-by-one as they work overnight to get the new collection ready for display. It's sort of like Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, except the pants want to rip your fingers off and kill you to death instead of reunite childhood friends. Slaxx stars Romane Denis (Slut in a Good Way), Brett Donahue (Private Eyes), Sehar Bhojani (The Handmaid's Tale), and Stephen Bogaert (The Umbrella Academy). It's directed by Elza Kephart (Go in the Wilderness, Graveyard Alive) from a script from Kephart and Patricia Gomez (Gravyard Alive). The effects work--and there is a lot because this is a movie about jeans that come to life--was done by Blood Brothers FX.
