Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has suffered one of the MCU's steepest box office drops in the second weekend. According to Deadline , the film had a 67% decline at the box office and brought in $61 million, as reported by Disney – though other studios put the numbers at a 68% drop for $60 million. Either figure makes this one of the MCU's biggest second weekend drops ever, alongside Black Widow (which fell 67%) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (which fell 68%). But, it's worth noting that No Way Home has become one of the highest-grossing movies of all time and its box office decline can be put down to its pre-Christmas release window and the huge amounts of money it made in its first week. Black Widow, meanwhile, had a simultaneous release on Disney Plus Premier Access – so it's difficult to draw a solid conclusion for what the drop might mean for Doctor Strange 2's box office prospects going forward. As for the sequel's huge drop, Deadline put the … [Read more...] about Doctor Strange 2 has one of the MCU’s biggest second weekend drops at the box office

Diablo 3 Dev Dishes On Cut Features, Lack Of PvP, And Creation Of Whimsyshire For Game’s 10th Anniversary
Diablo III recently turned 10 years old, and to celebrate a decade of demon-slaying, former Diablo III developer and current Diablo Immortal game director Wyatt Cheng took to Twitter to answer fan questions about the game's development, initial launch, and features that didn't make the final cut. Cheng's responses dive deep into Blizzard's approach for Diablo III, and how that approach quickly changed after launch. The game's difficulty, for example, was originally inspired by World of Warcraft's raids . The game's controversial real-money auction house was a major point of contention at launch, with many players feeling like the game's steep challenge at higher difficulty levels and low-item drop rates were intended to push players towards buying better gear on the auction house. Cheng says that was never the goal, but was instead implemented in order for players to more easily trade and exchange items without having to use third-party websites. Drop rates were never … [Read more...] about Diablo 3 Dev Dishes On Cut Features, Lack Of PvP, And Creation Of Whimsyshire For Game’s 10th Anniversary

Lost Ark Battle For The Throne Of Chaos Update Adds Battle Pass, New Class: Full Patch Notes
Lost Ark's Battle For the Throne of Chaos update arrives today, and it's the biggest update to Smilegate RPG and Amazon's free-to-play MMORPG yet, adding a new class, a battle pass, a new continent, numerous quality-of-life updates, and more. As detailed in the official patch notes , the new martial artist advanced class, the Glaivier, is the highlight. It's the first new class added to the Western version of Lost Ark since release. Wielding both a spear and a glaive, the Glaivier can swap between the two weapons with the press of a button, and each weapon has its own unique abilities and strengths. The glaive excels at clearing out huge groups of enemies, while the spear is ideal for poking down bosses. Sniper Elite 5 dev talks smarter, reactive AI, and new player invasions
I've not stopped thinking about the poor bastard I murdered in cold blood during my Sniper Elite 5 hands-on preview . His wide eyes. His panic. Him sprinting down a long, narrow hallway inside the French countryside mansion I'd broken into; and the stomach-turning crunch of the 30-06 Springfield Cartridge bullet I sent through the back of his skull. To be fair, he was a Nazi – one who was running to alert his pals to my presence – so there was no love lost in the exchange. Still, of all the kills I made during my recent time with Rebellion's latest tactical shooter, this is the one that stands out in my mind most, simply because it felt real. Enemies are as intelligent as they've ever been in Sniper Elite 5, you see, which is something the dev team has strived for with its first proper strides into the latest console cycle. "The key thing for any Sniper Elite game is to plan before you execute and that is truer than ever now. We are very proud of our AI and they are even more … [Read more...] about Sniper Elite 5 dev talks smarter, reactive AI, and new player invasions
Apex Legends IMC Armories – Tips For Survival And Best Characters For Killing Spectres
The recent addition of Titanfall 2's Spectres to the IMC Armories located on Apex Legends' Storm Point map has made it the most PvE-heavy map in the entire game, and with the exception of Flyers, every single one of the NPCs on the island is out to get you. But facing off with AI enemies in the ring certainly has its benefits, as the Carthage spiders and Prowlers on Storm Point leave excellent goodies behind. The Spectre robots now lurking within the IMC armories on the tropical paradise are similar, but they don't drop loot--instead, killing them will unlock special loot bins within the IMC Armory itself, with loot tailored to each squad member's specific loadout. These ruthless robots have made several appearances in Apex's YouTube videos--first when they attacked Loba in the Season 5 launch trailer and later when Pathfinder faced off with one in Stories from the Outlands: Fight Night . While entering an IMC Armory can give your squad a leg up on the competition, facing the … [Read more...] about Apex Legends IMC Armories – Tips For Survival And Best Characters For Killing Spectres
