I'm currently building a world war game with a timeline between the first world war up to current days. In the game there will be many fighting units with a diversified range of classes and sub-classes. Also there will be around 5 to 6 resources where the player will have to manage because every equipment will have a different trend on cost. In an earnings call yesterday EA executives discussed long term planning for cloud-based services and streaming delivery services. Though streaming services such as OnLive have floundered execs and forecasters are increasingly talking about streaming as a key 'disruptive' force in the coming decade. According to Seeking Alpha's transcript EA CEO Andrew Wilson says "cloud gaming will enable games to reach new audiences and geographies, and we're continuing development on the streaming capabilities we debuted in June and exploring the disruptive combination we see for streaming with our industry-leading subscription services.""We are planning for the future," he adds in a Q&A later in the call. Stormland is an open-world VR game by Insomniac Games and Oculus, and thanks to this E3's PC Gaming Show, we've just been given a closer look at it.The game casts you as a robot gardener whose world is upended by an entity known as the Tempest. Its body shattered, the robot must embark on a lengthy journey to heal itself.Stormland promises players a huge environment in which they can climb and glide across terrain and enjoy "massive freedom of movement."
