Intel 9th generation CPU roadmap has been leaked and from the looks of things Intel is actually including the core i9 in their mainstream series of CPUs and while these core i9 chips will have 8 cores they will be clocked higher as compared to the i7 SKUs. The Intel 9th generation CU roadmap also confirms that the upcoming series of chips will work fine with the current 300 series motherboards but I am sure that you will need a BIOS update in order for that to work properly. Intel 9th Generation CPU Roadmap 2018-19 Intel 9th generation CPU roadmap shows that there will be at least 3 K series SKUs that will be overclockable. These chips include the flagship Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K and the Core i5-9600K. These chips will be compatible with the current chipsets but you will need a Z series motherboard if you are looking to overclock your CPU. The Core i9-9900K comes with 8 cores and 16 threads, Core i7-9700K comes with 8 cores and 8 threads, the Core i5-9600K … [Read more...] about Intel 9th Generation CPU Roadmap 2018-19 Leaked: Core i9 Included, H310 Chipset Support Confirmed

Intel Xeon Scalable CPU coolers have been revealed and while I have not doubt that these will get the job done, putting in the least amount of work in order to push a CPU cooler is something that I have had enough of. While I get that Intel Xeon Scalable series is for servers but these chips can also be used in workstations. Are Intel Xeon Scalable CPU coolers that are functional and look good, too much to ask for? For comparison, AMD Threadripper CPUs are also used for workstations and the coolers that we have seen from the company are not only functional but have all kinds of features like RGB. They are not only functional but they look good as well. You can check out the new Wraith Riper cooler that AMD is bringing to the table in collaboration with Cooler Master. PreviousNext Intel Xeon Scalable CPU coolers have the same old industrial design that we expect from Intel and you get the same black fan with the Blue Intel sticker on top, which is just ugly. Other than that, even … [Read more...] about Intel Xeon Scalable CPU Coolers Are Just Plain Ugly
8 Core/16 thread Intel CPUs have been popping up as 8th gen Intel Coffee Lake refreshes and now another 8-core/16 thread Intel chip has been spotted on the internet which could potentially be Intel Core i7-8900K. This 8-core/16 thread Intel Coffee lake CPU has popped up over at SiSoftware database which also reveals specs for the alleged Intel Core i7-8900K. According to the leak, the upcoming 8-core/16 thread Intel Coffee Lake CPU or the alleged Intel Core i7-8900K features a base clock of 2.6 GHz while the boost clock has not been mentioned. This 8 core CPU from Intel also features 16 MB of L3 cache and 2 MB of L2 cache making a total of 18 MB of chase memory. It is possible that this 8-core/16 thread Intel Coffee Lake CPU will launch alongside the Z390 chipset from Intel which will be supported by all current-gen 300-series CPUs meaning the upcoming Intel Core i7-8900K will be compatible with the existing 300-series motherboards. AMD Ryzen has forced Intel’s hand with its … [Read more...] about 8 Core 16 Thread Intel Coffee Lake CPU Spotted With 2.6 GHz Base Clock, Could It Be Intel Core i7-8900K?
New Ashes of the Singularity benchmark has been spotted and it mentions an unnamed Intel CPU. The graphics part is described as generation 11 which is supposed to be Intel Ice Lake based on the 10nm process. As the score is pretty low, this seems to be a low-power mobile chip for laptops and notebooks. This could be an upcoming U series or Y series CPU that will be power efficient. According to the benchmark, the chip will have 4 cores and 8 threads. The higher core count is becoming a standard and it is nice to see 4 core laptops in the mainstream as they will be much better for multitasking and content creation. You can check out the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark below. Ashes Of The Singularity is a very demanding title but it does use the numerous cores and threads and that might be the reason why this test has been used to benchmarks the Intel Ice Lake CPU. Other than that, this does seem to be an initial chip and the performance of the final version will most likely … [Read more...] about Intel Ice Lake CPU Spotted In Ashes Of The Singularity Benchmark
Intel 28 Core CPU was shown at Computex 2018 and it was allegedly running at 5 GHz across all cores and resulted in a Cinebench score of 7334 points. While that might seem to be the case, there is much more than what meets the eyes. It seemed that this was a new Cascade Lake-X CPU but as it turned out this was just an older CPU that Intel had overclocked to 5 GHz. An industrial cooling solution was used in order to do the job. When you are picking out a CPU, you will find it common to face a trade-off between the number of cores and frequency. That is why the multicore CPUs thInteltel is bringing to the table turbo boost max on a single or two cores rather than all 4 or 6. Having a stable 5 GHz overclock on 28 cores would be a miracle indeed. While Intel might have pulled that off, the way it was done was misleading to say the very least. This Intel 28 core CPU that we have seen is not new. How do we know that? We talked about the fact that the chip is using the LGA3647 … [Read more...] about Intel 28 Core CPU Was Indeed Just A Marketing Stunt In Panick Of AMD Threadripper Gen 2
