By Matthew Aguilar - December 6, 2019 10:04 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 Netflix will soon unleash its newest series The Witcher, and it's a show that both fans of the books and fans of the video games are looking forward to quite a bit. One of the biggest hallmarks from the games is Geralt's two swords, which he wears on his back and swaps between depending on who he is facing at the time. His steel sword is used against humans, while his silver sword is used against monsters, though in the footage from the show we haven't seen him wearing them on his back like in the games. In a new breakdown of the trailer, showrunner Lauren Hissrich and executive producer Tomek Baginski addressed his two swords and did confirm he has both, but they went with the method he uses in the books over the games. "Geralt obviously has two swords in the show, and we see him mostly with his steel sword on his back," Hissrich said. "Coming into the series I always assumed that he would … [Read more...] about The Witcher Team Addresses Geralt’s Two Swords

Blizzard Defends Overwatch 2 Against Criticism About its Lacks of New Content
By Tyler Fischer - December 6, 2019 10:27 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 When Blizzard revealed Overwatch 2 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch back in November at BlizzCon, there was some confusion over whether it was a proper sequel or just a bloated expansion. Why? Well for a plethora of reasons. For one, there seemed to be a general lack of new content. Two, the new hero designs looked like simple revisions. And three because the multiplayer was going to be largely the same. In fact, if you own the first game you'll get all of the multiplayer content of the sequel. In other words, the big differentiator is the PvE story content, which will only be playable with the sequel. That said, there's been some criticism and Internet jabs thrown Blizzard's way, suggesting the game isn't really a sequel as much as an expansion. However, speaking to Edge Magazine, game director Jeff Kaplan ensured this isn't the case. “A sequel is a brand new game, with new … [Read more...] about Blizzard Defends Overwatch 2 Against Criticism About its Lacks of New Content
Dragon Ball Super’s Tadayoshi Yamamuro Explains How His Art Style Changed
By Nick Valdez - December 6, 2019 10:39 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 The future of Dragon Ball's anime franchise is currently in flux, but one of the many things fans are aware of from what's coming next is that longtime character designer and animator Tadayoshi Yamamuro had been replaced by Naohiro Shintani for Dragon Ball Super: Broly. While fans can currently see Yamamuro's direction in action thanks to the Super Dragon Ball Heroes promotional anime series, Yamamuro's future with the proper anime is currently unclear. There's a division over this considering the animator's character designs, which a large group of fans had grown tired of by Super's end. Yamamuro's style has evolved over his time with the franchise, and the famous animator recently opened up about that evolution during an interview with French magazine AnimeLand (thanks to @_Oth_Z and @AnimeAjay on Twitter). As Yamamuro explained, he originally began by more closely mirroring the approach of … [Read more...] about Dragon Ball Super’s Tadayoshi Yamamuro Explains How His Art Style Changed
Star Wars: ‘The Mandalorian’ Set Photos Reveal Major ‘Rogue One’ Connection
By Patrick Cavanaugh - November 16, 2018 07:23 pm EST Share 4 Comments 4 A recent set report from the upcoming live-action Star Wars: The Mandalorian confirms that Death Troopers, first introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will appear in the series. The report originated from Making Star Wars, who claims to have witnessed the Death Troopers on set. You can see the photos here. It's unclear if these were merely the outfits of the Imperials used by others or if they were representatives of the nefarious organization. The upcoming series is set years after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and after the destruction of the Galactic Empire. One reason for the appearance of the armor is that the soldiers who served as Death Troopers took to various corners of the galaxy, potentially still believing in the Empire's ideals, though were forced into hiding. It's also possible that, with the Empire and its various members being destroyed, the Death … [Read more...] about Star Wars: ‘The Mandalorian’ Set Photos Reveal Major ‘Rogue One’ Connection

By Patrick Cavanaugh - November 11, 2018 12:13 am EST Share 7 Comments 7 Star Wars fans were given a huge surprise from Disney today when CEO Bob Iger confirmed that a new live-action TV series focusing on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Cassian Andor would be heading into production next year. The news was met with mixed reactions, though the one unifying response was surprise that the news seemingly came out of nowhere. Lucasfilm described the series as focusing on "the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna will reprise the role of Andor." “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” Luna shared. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore … [Read more...] about Star Wars Fans React to ‘Rogue One’ Prequel Series
