Red Dead Online patch notes: It’s a good week for Moonshiners

· February 24, 2021 ·

The weekly Red Dead Online patch notes are in, and it's a good time to be dealing in Moonshine. Starting this week, bootlegging is becoming a little bit more lucrative thanks to a bunch of new bonuses to trading. During this time you’ll be able to earn 50 percent extra RDO$ along with double character XP and payouts on Moonshine sales. Speaking of Moonshine sales, if you complete any sale or trader sale, you’ll net yourself a free treasure map. Better yet, simply logging in before March 1 will reward you with a free Moonshine Mash Refill. If you feel confident in your horse riding, there will be a chance to earn double payouts in this week’s featured Series, including Target Races, Open Target Races, Plunder and more. You might want to hop into one of these modes during this time and make the most of the double rewards on offer for your troubles, which is always a nice bonus. For you collectors out there, some cosmetics will be leaving the game soon, so now is your last chance … [Read more...] about Red Dead Online patch notes: It’s a good week for Moonshiners

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 might have fixed the stim glitch for good

· February 25, 2021 ·

Call of Duty: Warzone 's stim glitch might finally be fixed for good this time, as Raven Software tries a new method to combat cheaters. Instead of trying to remove the glitch, Raven has outlined in the latest patch notes that "players that are continually in the gas will suffer more damage over time". This is probably the best course of action since pesky cheaters are always finding ways around all of the previous fixes the studio has implemented. For the longest time now the game has been plagued by cheaters using a trick dubbed the Warzone infinite stim glitch which allows you to constantly restore health points, out-healing any damage you might take. The worst part of the glitch is that it allowed you to stay outside the ring, in the damaging gas, indefinitely without it being a threat. Naturally, this is hugely annoying to encounter and despite multiple fixes tried by Raven, the glitch has never gone away. This new attempt, which has been introduced for the … [Read more...] about Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 might have fixed the stim glitch for good

PS5 and Xbox Series X shortage explained: why it’s so hard to find a console

· February 26, 2021 ·

By now you'll have heard about how PS5 and Xbox Series X stock is like gold dust. In fact, it often feels as if you have a greater chance of winning the lottery than being able to buy PS5 deals . But why? What makes the next-gen PlayStation so difficult to get hold of? While there are plenty of factors at play here, a lot of them boil down to the crapsack of a year that 2020 became. Don't worry - it's not just your bad luck. Supply chains and bottlenecks Instead, there's a tangle of reasons for low Xbox Series X and PS5 stock. Chief among them would be, unsurprisingly, COVID-19. The pandemic has ravaged many industries, leading to upset production. This is definitely the case for PlayStation. As Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan mentioned in a recent GQ interview , coronavirus means that "supply chains become a little more complicated than would normally be the case." The transition to an unprecedented online distribution model hasn't helped either. However, … [Read more...] about PS5 and Xbox Series X shortage explained: why it’s so hard to find a console

An expert’s guide to collecting comic book art

· February 25, 2021 ·

Are you a comic fan that appreciates the art and wants to do more than just collect the comic books? Well, you can, with original art. Whether it is to admire, to collect, to give, or to invest in, original comic book art is a thriving part of the comic book industry. I've been collecting since 2007, and have seen just how much the market can change in a few years. At this point in my life, it's become less of a hobby and more of a ritual at every comic convention I go to. I get a budget plan together, assemble my portfolios, pack my sketchbooks, and roll out to Artist Alley for the rare opportunity to meet comic artists face-to-face and, hopefully, snag a great piece or two. But if you haven't started, it can be daunting. Where would you even start? What's the right way and wrong way to try and get sketches and commissions from your favorite artist? Let's break it down so you can begin collecting original comic book art online and/or at conventions, and be better prepared … [Read more...] about An expert’s guide to collecting comic book art

Knack review

· November 13, 2013 ·

Sony has been saying for a while that it wants PlayStation 4 to take us back in time to a more innocent kind of gaming, but I didn't realise they meant it so literally until I played Knack, an old-fashioned platform brawler where you run around double-jumping and mashing buttons to punch goblins and robots until they flicker out of view. Almost completely linear and framed by a third-person camera over which you have no control, Knack is a series of fights that box you into small arenas until you kill all your enemies, at which point a forcefield is removed so you can continue. These fights are broken up by basic platform sections where you dodge through traps. There are ice and lava levels, along with forests where you punch owls and spiders, and in the end I was surprised the developers didn't just go the whole hog and throw in a mine cart ride. All of this is set up by a simple story about goblins attacking humans. Built out of prehistoric relics by an inventor everyone just … [Read more...] about Knack review
