Xbox Games with Gold will include two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games, all four are playable on Xbox One, as usual. For the entire month of March, Trials of the Blood Dragon will be available for Xbox One users. The game, which released in June 2016, mashes up the excellent Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and the RedLynx-developed racing game Trials Come March 16, Superhot will be available as a free download until April 15. The time-bending shooter was released in 2016, and tasks players with dodging swarms of slow-motion bullets as they streak by your face. On Xbox 360, starting March 1, Brave: The Video Game will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through March 15. Come March 16, it will be replaced with 2012’s dimension shifting puzzler Quantum Conundrum from Portal creator Kim Swift. Major Nelson has revealed Microsoft’s upcoming line-up of free Games With Gold for the month of February 2018. Headlining the new month is the action-packed first-person shooter, Shadow Warrior. Once again Xbox Live subscribers will gain access to four games, two released on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360. Both Xbox 360 titles will work on Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Here are the Microsoft’s four titles available during February as part of Games With Gold: Xbox One Shadow Warrior Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India Xbox 360 As is typical for Games With Gold, each Xbox One title will be available for a full month. Xbox Game Pass Adding New Microsoft Games Is a Massive Value Proposition; Likely Good for Everyone
Today, Microsoft announced that going forward its Xbox Game Pass subscription service will include new first-party games from Microsoft Game Studios day and date with their retail release. This means that paying as low as $9.99 a month, or the price of a full game ($59.99) every semester, Xbox One users will be able not only to enjoy a large number of older (but still definitely valuable) games like Halo 5: Guardians and Gears of War 4, but also brand new titles like Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, State of Decay II, the upcoming new Halo, Gears of War, Forza, and more. Of course, that access will be limited until each game gets rotated out of the lineup, and then you need to purchase them at a 20% discount if you want them forever, but many play new titles only close to their release, so that isn’t such a restrictive caveat.
