Xbox has announced plans to expand its gaming accessibility initiatives by building out the Xbox Accessibility Guidelines (XAGs) and launching a "platform-provided" program tapping gamers with disabilities to get their feedback on further improving accessibility. The XAGs, which were launched in January 2020, have new improvements that make them both easier to understand and implement for game developers. These improvements include adjusting the language to make it clearer to grasp, adding "scoping questions" to help developers identify specific elements, and updating goals to make them easier to understand. Nintendo was working on a universal controller that would work across Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms, former executive Reggie Fils-Aime has revealed. He told Inverse that Nintendo was making this controller in 2019 after Xbox came out with its own Xbox Adaptive Controller . Fils-Aime said Nintendo thought of the Xbox Adaptive Controller as a "jumping-off point to create something that would be platform-agnostic and adaptable by any consumer." Fils-Aime said, "Imagine an adaptive controller that you could play with your latest Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo platform. That's what we were working on three years ago." Some fans scored an epic deal on FIFA 23 as part of a pricing mistake, and publisher Electronic Arts will honor the error. PC Gamer reports that the Epic Games Store in India was selling FIFA 23's Ultimate Edition on PC for 4.80 rupees, which comes out to around $0.06 USD. That's a pretty sweet discount of 99.98%. Despite this being an error, EA won't cancel any orders. Instead, everyone who got FIFA 23 for 6 cents will actually get it for that price. Activision has revealed the creative process of making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Dark Water level, which was first showcased at Summer Game Fest Live. A Call of Duty blog post describes the trailer as a "vertical slice." That shows off core features, visuals, audio, and overall player experience. The campaign mission is meant to set the tone for what players can expect upon its release on October 28. "Dark Water balances being completely realistic while being completely ludicrous," said Rich Farrelly, lead-level designer at Infinity Ward.
