By now most of you will be aware that The Witcher author and creator is demanding royalties from developer CD Projekt Red following the success of the Witcher video game franchise. While this matter is yet to be settled but, fantasy author Brandon Sanderson is considering giving CD Projekt Red video game rights to his Mistborn series. According to Brandon Sanderson, CD Projekt Red has created the best book-to-video game adaptation with its The Witcher franchise and would love to give video game rights of his Mistborn series to the studio for free. He noted that “overall cultural impact that a great story adaptation can have is enormous”. However, he noted that he doubts that CD Projekt Red might not be interested in video game rights to his Mistborn series following the situation with the author of the Witcher books. Eric Barone, a.k.a ConcernedApe, has posted a new blog post focusing on the hotly-anticipated Stardew Valley multiplayer update. Happily, it's good news! The new features are "done," and Barone is working with Chucklefish developer Tom Coxon to fix multiplayer bugs. Once a "serious QA phase" has been completed, a Stardew Valley multiplayer beta will be made available. Barone is hoping for the beta to be ready for a spring release.
