Final Fantasy 7 Remake was nowhere to be seen at the Square Enix E3 2018 event, despite it being one of the most highly anticipated releases that the publisher has up its sleeve. With so little new information available pertaining to the upcoming RPG remake, fans had been hoping that Square would show off the game during the event. Unfortunately, it was notably absent from proceedings. Square Enix has kept quiet about Final Fantasy 7 Remake, with only snippets of information having been announced since its initial reveal back in E3 2015. With it being kept so tightly under wraps, it was predicted that it would pop up this year, and we'd finally be given some more details and even a confirmed release date. However, that was not to be, and in an underwhelming pre-recorded 30-minute event Cloud and co. were no-shows. But this doesn't mean that Final Fantasy 7 Remake won't be appearing at E3 2018 altogether. Although Sony has stated that it's focused on doing … [Read more...] about E3 2018: Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a No-Show at Square Enix E3 2018 Event
Final fantasy 7 remake release date
Square Enix dumbfounded naysayers and hopeful fans alike when it announced Final Fantasy VII Remake at E3 2015. Given the resulting hype, you'd think that we would've seen more about the game over the past three years, but apart from a second trailer at PlayStation Experience 2015 a few months later, only rumors and scraps of info have surfaced. We've got our fingers crossed that this will be the year--that E3 2018 will be the event--when the curtain is raised and Final Fantasy VII Remake is properly unveiled. Square Enix will have a dedicated presentation at the show, and while we can reasonably expect to see Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts 3, and a few indies from the Square Enix Collective label, the publisher would do very well to feature Final Fantasy VII as much as possible. What We Know So FarAll things considered, the 2015 trailers gave us a generous look at what's to come, including a few tantalizing moments of combat. We got to see lead characters Cloud and Barret, … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy 7 Remake: What We Want At E3 2018
Last year, Final Fantasy 7 Remake ended development at CyberConnect2, and the project was taken in-house at Square Enix. Since then, very little information on the game has been released, but we now know that composer Nobuo Uematsu, who worked on the original game, will be returning for the remake. This is according to Final Fantasy 7 Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase, who confirmed that Uematsu is working on the project. It’s unclear at this point if Uematsu will simply be remastering the tracks he created for the original release, or if he will be creating a brand new soundtrack from the ground-up. Development on the project essentially started over last year when CyberConnect2 was pulled from development, and we haven’t had any significant updates on the game … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy 7 Remake Bringing Back Original Composer

The conversation reveals some details about the mysterious Final Fantasy 7 Remake, including a possible release window for the game, as well a when we can expect to hear more about the game. For those fans who were expecting a release date confirmation early this year, they may be disappointed to hear that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has hit a bit of a snag in its development. Essentially, while this game has been thought to be four years into development, it’s more like two after recent developments with Square’s Enix’s partner caused the company to start over from scratch in some areas. Some time ago, Square Enix partnered with CyberConnect2 to help with the action gameplay and video quality. However, it was recently revealed that Square dropped the company last year and deemed the content “unusable.” As a result, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has encountered a major setback, but it’s possibly even worse.According to Dan Tsukasa, a game designer and Final Fantasy 7’s art director, it’s essentially chaos because of CyberConnect2 dropping the ball.
