With Fortnite Battle Royale continuing to smash revenue records since its release as a free-to-play title last year, there’s no doubt that the game’s player base continues to grow well after its launch. With this being the case, there are bound to be some bad apples in the bunch who are looking to exploit the game, so it seems as if the game’s developer, Epic Games, has decided to double down on combating cheating by acquiring the gaming security and anti-cheat company Kamu. According to Tim Sweeney, the founder and CEO of Epic Games, “Kamu’s team and tools have been key to building a vibrant Fortnite multiplayer experience that’s fair for all players,” and it looks like the Helsinki-based firm will still help other companies as well, regardless of the engine being used. E3's pre-show showcases and events have provided a few surprises so far--but most of the big surprises come with big buts. Nintendo revealed that Fortnite is, shockingly enough, coming to the surging Switch. The surprising thing is that Battle Royale is available for download and crossplay right now. The Mario factory spent most of their conference showing off Super Smash Bros Ultimate for Switch, revealing it would have every single character in the previous version and a whole load more.
