On Tuesday, an Ark: Survival Evolved YouTube channel called H.O.D. Gaming uploaded a video called "2019 GUIDE TO MESH MONKEYS (PART 1)." The owner of the channel, a 27-year old Australian named Luke, told me that it was at least partially inspired by his own personal vengeance. "Each time i would build a base a cheat or exploiter would come and ignore my base defense and exploit my base and steal my work," he said, over email. "Bases take hundreds of hours to build and cheaters can ignore the in game defense through this method."So naturally, Luke framed his video as a dulcet nature documentary. "Mesh monkeys," he said, are the vile, regrettable creatures who populate the server blades of Ark: Survival Evolved and muck up the multiplayer with cheap tricks that ruin the experience for everyone else. "Today, we're going to explore the mesh monkeys, and the techniques they use to supersede base defenses," he says. For the next 10 minutes, Luke methodically unveiled a few of the … [Read more...] about Ark: Survival Evolved YouTuber protests exploits by showing how to use them, gets banned

Cheating is a problem in an awful lot of online games, and Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is no exception. It's a fairly common complaint among the PUBG community that the developers aren't doing enough to combat cheaters, but numbers assembled by redditor sjk045 indicate that a whopping 13 million accounts have been permanently banned over the past 69 weeks. The figure is based on weekly reports posted by Bluehole on the official Korean PUBG Cafe, indicating the number of cheaters banned that week. The banhammer swings gently at first—the first week saw 1,852 accounts banned, 1,294 accounts were taken out in week two—but it ramps up fairly quickly: 132,676 bans were handed out in week 32, and more than 1 million accounts were banned in week 42. Sjk045 clarified that the numbers represent accounts banned, not people—the great likelihood is that at least some of the banned accounts belong to repeat offenders—and that they do not include temporary … [Read more...] about 13 million PUBG accounts have been banned since mid-2017
Remeber the popular Xbox 360 meme? “My Dad works for Microsoft and he will get you banned.” Well, if you use this meme on Sony’s platform, PlayStation Network, the company will ban your account. A PSN user, Hamed Jalalie, who plays Fortnite on Sony’s PlayStation Network was reached out by another player accusing him of being a hacker. It is understandable that he would think that way after being killed by Hamad with a Sniper Rifle at 260m. Both parties exchanged a few words on PSN after which Hamad was banned permanently by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The second PSN user wanted to report Hamad directly to Epic Games to which Hamad replied and made a joke; “bahahahahaha my dad works at Sony he will get u banned.” It is a reference to the popular meme from the Xbox 360 days: However, Sony banned him for making a joke, saying that the company is against such false claims. In an email to Hamad (provided to SegmentNext), Sony wrote: We are … [Read more...] about Sony Permanently Bans PSN User for Using Popular Xbox 360 Meme
While we are still two weeks away from the most hyped PS4 release, God Of War. You might be surprised by what we are about to tell you. Apparently, somehow a God Of War PS4 Retail Copy has been leaked and seems like those who have it are enjoying the game 2 weeks before they actually would have. We came to know about this leak through Reddit, a user who goes by the name “kemar7856” has been courteous enough to share the images of the God Of War PS4 Retail Copy. This is certainly not the first time nor it is the first game that has had its retail copy leaked before the actual release date. In the past, we have had God Of War 3 go through the same trouble. When we talk about such type of leaks, there is one thing which is to be understood, that when the publishers will create a huge hype for a specific game, then such leaks are bound to take place. The hype of God Of War PS4 has been an all-time high, there have been tons of gameplay, cinematic as well as story trailers from … [Read more...] about God of War PS4 Retail Copy Leaked, You Have Been Warned Against Spoilers!
In a blog posted earlier this week, EVE Online developers announced that players who create automated bots will be banned for three days and removed from the game permanently if they are repeat offenders. While CCP isn't taking legal action against players who create automated bots it could be a possibility in the future, as a court recently ruled in favor of Twitch cracking down on illegal bot makers. After players expressed frustration over the increased number of botters in EVE Online, CCP was prompted to implement stricter punishments. "A little over 1800 accounts were banned for botting/automation in January," the blog states. "About one third of the affected accounts received permanent bans as repeat offenders, while the rest was temporarily banned on first offense." Starting March 1st, players caught on a first botting offense will be temporarily banned from EVE Online for three days as opposed to the current thirty days. … [Read more...] about EVE Online to permanently ban repeat offenders using bots
