The PlayStation Classic Age Rating has been determined by the ESRB. The newest retro mini console by Sony falls into the Mature 17+ category, largely based on some of the games included in the library. Sony first announced the PlayStation Classic back in September. This miniaturized version of the company’s first gaming console is retailing for $99.99 and is all set to work with modern televisions. It includes 20 games built into the console. Prominent Twitter user Wario64 has noted on social media that the PlayStation Classic Age Rating has popped up on the ESRB website. The rating summary goes over some of the more contentious content that justifies the PlayStation Classic Age Rating. Some of the titles included with the console feature firearms used to kill humans or creatures from both first and third-person perspectives. A PC version of Sunset Overdrive is all but confirmed now. Update: After the ESRB rating discovery last week, more evidence about Sunset Overdrive’s PC version has surfaced. The game is apparently coming to Steam, as evident by this Steam database entry. This database entry has existed for seven months, but was updated several times during the past 30 days, and more recently earlier today. As you know by now, not all games with Steam database entries end up actually coming to Steam, but it’s another thing to consider about this seemingly open secret. Evidence is mounting once again, now that the PC version has been rated by the ESRB. Spotted by Gematsu, the PC version of Sunset Overdrive was recently awarded an M for mature rating. This is the same rating the board gave the Xbox One version. Back in May, Sunset Overdrive was rated for PC by the Korean rating board. Despite this, Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement. It’s not yet clear whether the PC version will also be published by Microsoft. If that’s the plan, the game will likely be locked to the Windows Store. That said, there’s a chance a third-party publisher – or developer Insomniac – could step in to publish it on Steam. It is safe to assume that developers is aiming for mature audience with Just Cause 4. Given that there are only two months to go in the release of Just Cause 4, ESRB provided the rating details online. The official ESRB website has listed the game’s other section with “In-Game Purchases”. Most of the fans are hoping that this only turns out to be some kind of DLC rather than microtransactions. The controversy of microtransactions is not something anyone would want to associate with. Meanwhile, many believe that this might not mean anything serious for Just Cause 4 at all. Games have had In-Game Purchases listed before as well but in the end, they turned out to be DLC anyway. Some might argue that even if Just Cause 4 has “In-Game Purchases” it might have them like JC3. Just Cause 3 had stuff from the gold and deluxe edition added as microtransactions. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has received a great deal of information over the last couple of months, both about its story and gameplay. Now, the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey ESRB Rating reveals even more, giving us a sense of what to expect when it finally releases. According to it, the two protagonists are siblings and the game includes a lot of explicit language. The first bit of information to get from the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey ESRB Rating is that the game is rated M for Mature (17+) meaning it will include gore, violence, strong language and sexual themes. This is not a generic random thing though as the summary of the rating reveals even more information both story and gameplay-wise.
