ELON MUSK has unveiled a super-fast transport tunnel underneath LA that would feel like "teleporting within a city". The so-called Test Tunnel only runs at 40mph right now, but Musk says his revolutionary system will eventually hit speeds of 150mph. Los Angeles is famously difficult to navigate due to high traffic levels – and has a notorious rush-hour that can leave drivers stranded for hours. Musk believes his concept tunnel – in this case, located in south LA's Hawthorne area – can solve this problem, carting commuters through a subterranean network of tunnels. These tunnels are drilled by his Boring Company outfit, which uses specialised equipment for quick, cheap tunnelling. Drivers in autonomous vehicles would be able to join the subterranean loop at any point, and be pushed through the tunnels at 150mph. "At that speed, it will feel like teleporting within a city," Musk boasted. "It's much more like an underground highway than it is a subway," he said. "It's … [Read more...] about Elon Musk’s Boring Company transport tunnel feels like ‘TELEPORTING’ as 150mph LA underground track finally opens

SOMEWHERE in Silicon Valley, a man wakes early with the sunrise. Venturing into the kitchen, he pacifies his rumbling belly with a cup of coffee infused with a large knob of grass-fed butter. He’s in the middle of a fast, after all. After a two-hour meditation session, he’s off to spend thousands of dollars on his latest indulgence – stem cell injections. The clinic’s practitioner assures him that removing stem cells from his bone marrow and injecting them into other tissues will rejuvenate them from their fatigued state. He trusts their word, just as he trusts that spraying nicotine into his mouth will give him the benefits of a cigarette without the negative side effects. When he retires for the night, equipped with melatonin tablets and blue light-blocking glasses to ensure his sleep cycle isn’t disturbed, he’s satisfied with the day’s achievements. He’s taken another small step towards his goal. He may be a product of the 21st … [Read more...] about Cell injections, magnetic chairs and brain implants – Silicon Valley’s wacky quest for IMMORTALITY
ELON Musk has shared his latest crazy idea - controlling his company's enormous tunnelling machine using an Xbox controller. The Boring Company posted a video to social media showing the huge piece of machinery at a test site, with various bits of it moving in response to an employee's commands as they were entered on a standard Xbox controller. The Boring Company is tied up with Elon Musk's absurd Hyperloop proposals. A test tunnel is being dug in California, while more are planned across the US despite public transport experts repeatedly panning the plan as unworkable. The video was shared with the caption 'Best video game ever', which Musk then retweeted to his 22.5 million followers on Twitter. The use of an Xbox controller in serious applications is not uncommon. The US military uses them quite widely for drones, bomb disposal robots and even an experimental laser cannon. FOAMING AT THE MOUTH Fortnite nerf guns are on the way - but they WON'T ruin Christmas BACK TO BLACK (OPS) … [Read more...] about Boring Company video shared by Elon Musk shows tunnelling machine driven with Xbox controller
BILLIONAIRE tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has built a reputation for his innovative companies such as SpaceX and Tesla and his forward-thinking ideas. Who is Elon Musk? There's no doubt that Elon has quite the CV. He's the founder, CEO and CTO of SpaceX, co-founder, CEO and product architect of Tesla Motors, co-founder and chairman of SolarCity, co-chairman of Opan AI, co-founder of Zip2 and founder of X.com, which merged with PayPal. ELON MUSK has tweeted that he's building a cyborg dragon, whatever that means. The Tesla and SpaceX chief offered no explanation about the barmy invention. Let's pause for a second and break that down literally: a cyborg is a being with organic and mechanical body parts, and a dragon is a mythical animal usually portrayed as a scaly, fire-breathing serpent. Definitions aside, we're still no closer to getting to the bottom of this blunt, but also strangely cryptic, tweet. Musk has played with fire before, building a Boring flamethrower (which takes its name from the droll title of his tunnel-drilling firm) and flogging it for £355. All 20,000 units of the insane (and wholly irresponsible) tool were snapped in just four days. Oh btw I’m building a cyborg dragon— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 25, 2018 He's also taken to Twitter to unveil Boring hats and Tesla tequila – so is this cyborg dragon just the latest in a line of Musk merch? And will it be available to the … [Read more...] about Elon Musk says he’s building a ‘cyborg dragon’ – should we be worried?
